Share It!
Share It! is a seven-level primary series
in American English.
Gets students speaking
By creating opportunities for sharing experiences
and exchanging information, Share It! helps
young learners really understand and use English
in class. Real-world content motivates students
to engage with authentic topics and provides
genuine reasons to use the language learned.
Creates a positive classroom
Share It! provides teachers with all the tools they
need to create a positive classroom environment
where empathy abounds and everyone’s progress
is valued. Through a focus on values and ongoing
self-assessment, the course nurtures a growth
mindset in students that enables them to achieve
more in their learning.
Supports teachers
Each student has a Sharebook of carefully
scaffolded speaking activities, making it simple
for teachers to manage their classes. Helpful
Teacher Tips in every lesson and a practical
Teacher Reflection Plan guide teachers to identify,
develop, and share effective techniques that lead
to better learning.
Cambridge Assessment offer a range of Cambridge
English Qualifications designed for young learners.
These include:
• Pre A1 Starters
• A1 Movers
• A2 Flyers
• Key for Schools (A2)
• Preliminary for Schools (B1)
These exams cover the four skills of listening, speaking,
reading, and writing, within which students’ knowledge
of grammar and vocabulary is also tested. The exams
are aligned with the CEFR (Common European
Framework of Reference for Languages) and cover
familiar, everyday topics.
How to Use the Share It! Cambridge English Maps
The Share It! Cambridge English maps show where
language that is in the Cambridge English exams
syllabus is taught in the course. There is a map for
Vocabulary, organized by topic, and a map for
Grammar, organized by structure.
Teachers should note that there are instances in Share
It! where the US form of a UK word (e.g. “cabinet” for
“cupboard”) is not included in the Starters syllabus and
so children preparing to take the Starters exam should
be taught the equivalent UK form of some words.
