The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has launched a consultation exercise (this ended 06/06/14) on proposals to replace the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM 2007). The HSE state that their proposals support the strategic objectives of improved coordination, better value for money, improved efficiency and the use of technological changes in Construction 2025, the government’s industrial strategy for construction. In addition, some changes need to be made to CDM 2007 to fully implement the Temporary or Mobile Construction Sites (TMCS) Directive 92/57/EEC.
