Hermanos Gandón operates a fleet of five deep-sea freezer ships. All of their ships are in the North Atlantic, fishing for species such as the redfish, halibut, grenadier and other deep-sea varieties.

After an initial positive trial on the Ana Gandón, a 58-meters long trawler and 10-meters wide, Hermanos Gandón decided to extend its use of XBEE fuel within the rest of the fleet: the Hermanos Gandón, the Punta Robaleira, the Esperanza Menduiña, and finally the Aldán.

By using the XBEE Enzyme Fuel Technology permanently, Hermanos Gandón is fulfilling three objectives: · a reduction in technical maintenance costs; · reduced fuel consumption; and · a reduction in soot and harmful gases emissions.
