DescriptionThis qualification ensures that you are up-to-date with thelatest industry regulation on wiring and the safe use andoperation of electrical equipment and systems. It coversthe current edition of the IET Wiring Regulations. Theseregulations are recognised by the British Standards Instituteas a British Standard (BS7671).

If you are a practising electrician, you must comply with theregulations for electrical work, this qualification is designedto provide those seeking progression in their career withthe opportunity to develop the skills necessary to carryout job roles and responsibilities associated with theElectrotechnical industry.

LocationAfan College or Newtown College.

Who Should Attend?The individual attending the course should be a qualified electrician or have another related Level 3 electrical qualification.

Method of AssessmentThe course consists of classroom instruction and exerciseswith an open book multiple choice online assessment uponcompletion. All candidates must complete a 2 hour full exam in order to gain this qualification.

Entry RequirementsThose working within the electrotechnical industry who haverecently completed their 17th edition Amendment 3: 2015qualification i.e. City & Guilds 2382-15 or an equivalent.

All candidates must purchase prior to the course, the following publication:Requirements for Electrical Installations, IET Wiring Regulations, Eighteenth Edition, BS 7671:2018.
