March Calendar March Hot Lunch
Zion ECEC will celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday withstories by Dr. Seuss, crafts and a movie based on a Dr.Seuss book. The celebration will be Monday, March4th.
Open HouseMarch 6, 2014Join us on Thursday, March 6, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm forour Open House. This is a great time to visitclassrooms and enjoy some of the great projects ourZion ECEC students have created. After you have seenthe ECEC be sure to stop by the Elementary school andsee what the Kindergarten -8th grade have displayed.
Families who were unable to attend the KindergartenOpen House can stop by the information table for aKindergarten packet and a tour of the school.
Grandparents/Special Friends DayMarch 7, 2014 Be sure to invite Grandparents/Special Friends to takea journey with you through your school day! Their daywill begin at 8:30 am in the gym and will move to theclassrooms, enjoy recess time, and attend Chapel.
Book FairMarch 5-8, 2014The Scholastic Book Fair comes to Zion Elementaryschool March 4-7th. Stop by the library and pick outbooks from your favorite authors! Book Fair will beopen during the ECEC Open house andGrandparents/Special Friends Day
We Need Cookies: We our asking 24 of our ECEC Families to bring in 2dozen cookies for Grandparents/Special Friends Day. Cookies are put out with coffee and drinks for ourGrandparents/Special friends who visit the ECEC. Yourhelp in bring in cookies for this day is trulyappreciated! Contact Mrs. Cavaness if you are able tobring cookies. Cookies may be dropped off on orbefore Thursday, March 6th at 6:00 PM .
Pre-Kindergarten
Chancy & Bruce Kindergarten evaluations will be onTuesday, March 11th and Wednesday, March 12th.Evaluations will be done during the childrens school day.Parents please be sure children are well rested and eata good breakfast that morning. Please complete andreturn the evaluation form with payment onor before March 6th. The evaluation is a greatmeasurement tool for all parents to have for theirchildren's educational file.
Chancy and Bruce Parent Feed Back
Night
Parent feedback night will be on Tuesday, March 25th, at6:00PM in the Zion Room. Representatives fromChancy & Bruce will be here to share with parents about the evaluation and the results. This meeting is full ofinformative information you dont want to miss
Pull out your Trikes and Helmets and get ready for theZion ECEC Annual Trike-Thon! Every year the ECECsponsors a Trike-A-Thon to raise money for indoor andout door equipment, this year the Trike-A-Thon will be onMarch 21st. We will send out Trike-A-Thon pledgesheets on March 3rd and 4th, parents please help byasking family, friends or neighbors to sponsor your childin the Zion Trike-A-Thon. Children may bring their owntrike or bike to ride at this event as well as their helmet.Parents are encouraged to join us for the fun!
Raising A Reader Program We are very excited to announce we are bringing backthe Raising A Reader Program! This is a great programthat encourages reading. Look for complete informationon this program to go home in the month of March.
