100 Black Men

“Man…!”

Lou Coleman Pretentious people: Ugh… Always want to be seen to show out; can’t function unless they stand out. Always got to be on the pro-gram; can’t serve in the background. Always got to be about them. Then want to have the audac-ity to get mad when you say something. Listen, Jesus warned against this type of hypocrisy in Matthew 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. You know in the parable Matt

13:26 no one noticed the problem until the wheat began to reproduce, forming heads prior to the harvest. I want you to know that the key dif-ference between wheat and weeds is not in what they do, but in what they are? Who am I talking too? Because pretentious people, act saved but are active sinners. How can you hold a position in God’s houses (the church) and yet the dev-il runs rapid in your own house? Paul says in Acts 17:22-23…..You need a word that is revelatory and relevant. Real peo-ple don’t come to church to be confused. Real people come to church to get a practical word and to come to under-stand what they don’t’ understand. I want you to know that the days of coming to church and not understanding the Word is over. Why sit in church just to die on the vine? This thing is per-sonal. What up Inland Em-pire! What it do with the LUE this week, is the WINGS! In this industry I get a chance to meet many talented indepen-dent artists. A lot of them have similar stories and similar goals. I’d like to introduce the man him-self, Justified Smith. Justified Smith is one of the most prolific writ-ers of our time. He has recorded and printed more than 6 indepen-dent albums over the last nine years and has reportedly moved thou-sands of units in the mu-sic game. Over his ca-reer he’s shared tracks with West Coast veter-ans E-40, Kokane, Spice 1, Bad Azz, Above the Law, and many other in-dependent artists. Re-spected mostly for his passion to hustle and the heart to sell his own mu-sic out of the trunk, Jus-tified is definitely an un-derground icon. This talented artist is a jack of all trades. Not only is Mr. Smith a tal-ented rap artist but a

business owner, show host of “CALI LIVE”, CEO of “Justified” and “G.I.2.G Entertain-ment”, but most of all a loving and caring single father of two beautiful little girls and one hand-some son. He goes hard for his family on a dai-

ly basis to ensure their provided for. You can always catch Mr. Smith doing good work within his community and be-yond. His organization M.O.F.I.A. which stands for “Men Of Faith In Action”, puts on sever-al events throughout the year blessing the folks with needed household products and materials. I can respect that all day long!

Follow the wings and please support Justi-fied Smith. His mu-sic is available every-where digital downloads are sold. For bookings please contact email [email protected]. Until next time l’zzz! Justified’s latest song ti-tles include “Man On A Mission” and “Follow The Wings” featuring Suga Free Message.

hirah’s own autobiog-raphy, and a list of do-mestic violence hotlines with 24/7 access to high-ly trained advocates for immediate support. In conjunction with her book release, Tahirah’s clothing line debuted with the launch of two t-shirt designs. The first derives from her original art pieces called “ Pow-er Beyond the Fist.” The striking image translates two powerful messages. On one hand, it’s a col-lection of 52 inspiring phrases that help domes-tic violence victims un-derstand they can over-come through faith in God, encouragement, forgiveness and a great support system. On the other, it sends the mes-sage to males that re-al men don’t hit wom-en. “The Nubian” shirt hits the positive message home to victims and sur-vivors that there is no excuse in settling for a life that’s less than one is capable of living; that there is true purpose in

life beyond domestic vi-olence. It is necessary to rise above and become the best version of one-self. When worn, these high-quality shirts act as strong messages to soci-ety, supporting the theo-ry that we can break the

silence of domestic vio-lence. To listen to the audio interview, please vis-it http://bit.ly/1JAuQCr. For more information on the book and how you can get it, visit otahirah.com.

You should also be aware that the lien being auctioned off may be a junior lien. If you are the high-est bidder at the auction, you are or may be responsible for paying off all liens senior to the lien being auctioned off, before you can receive clear title to the property. You are encouraged to investigate the existence, priority, and size of outstand-ing liens that may exist on this property by contacting the county recorder’s office or a title insurance company, either of which may charge you a fee for this information. If you consult either of these resources, you should be aware that the same lender may hold more than one mortgage or deed of trust on the property. NOTICE TO PROP-ERTY OWNER: The sale date shown on this notice of sale may be postponed one or more times by the mortgagee, beneficiary, trustee, or a court, pursuant to Section 2924g of the California Civil Code. The law requires that information about trustee sale postponements be made avail-able to you and to the public, as a courtesy to those not present at the sale. If you wish to learn whether your sale date has been postponed, and, if applicable, the rescheduled time and date for the sale of this property, you may call (844) 477-7869 or visit this Internet Web site WWW.STOXPOSTING.COM, using the file number assigned to this case 013030-CA. Information about postponements that are very short in duration or that occur close in time to the sched-uled sale may not immediately be reflected in the telephone information or on the Internet Web site. MCLAUGHLIN, JR be appoint-ed as personal representative to administer the estate of the de-scendent. The petition requests the decedent’s will and codicils, if any, be admitted to probate. The will and any codicils are available for examination in the file kept by the court. The petition requests authority to administer the estate under the Independent Administration of Estates Act. (This authority will allow the personal representa-tive to take many actions without obtaining court approval. Before taking certain very important actions, however, the personal representative will be required to give notice to interested persons unless they have waived notice

or consented to the proposed action.) Decedent was not sur-vived by a stepchild or foster child or children who would have been adopted by decedent but for a legal barrier. (See Prob. Code, € 6454).The independent administration authority will be granted unless an interested person files an objection to the petition and shows good cause why the court should not grant the authority. A hearing on the petition will held in this court as follows:Date: Oct 7th 2015 Time: «8:30 A.M. Dept.: S-54Address of court: same as noted above. If you object to the granting of the petition, you should appear at the hearing and state your objections or file written objections with the court before the hearing. Your appearance may be in person or by your attorney. If you are a creditor or a contingent creditor of the decedent, you must file your claim with the court and mail a copy to the personal representative appointed by the court within the later of either (1) four months from the date of first issuance of letters to a general personal representative, as de-fined in section 58(b) of the California Probate Code, or (2) 60 days from the date of mail-ing or personal delivery to you of a notice under section 9052 of the California Probate Code. Other California statutes and legal authority may affect your rights as a creditor. You may want to consult with an attorney knowledgeable in California law. You may examine the file kept by the court. If you are a person interested in the estate, you may file with the court a Request for Special Notice (form DE-154) of the filing of an inventory and ap-praisal of estate assets or of any petition or account as provided in Probate Code section 1250. A Request for Special Notice form is available from the court clerk. ATTORNEY FOR PETITIONER JAMES W. “We’ve put on a gospel fest for 19 consecutive years. Lindsay Hughes, an operator here, ran it for 19 years. And then, we started the Inspira-tion Gospel Celebration, [which] has grown every year.” Back for its ninth year, McDonald’s Inspira-tion Celebration Gospel Tour focuses on the im-portance of giving back to the community by supporting Ronald Mc-Donald House Charities (RMHC). In recognition of the Charity’s 41st an-niversary, this year con-certgoers will have the opportunity to learn

about RMHC and the important role it plays in helping families heal and thrive in their local com-munity and worldwide. “African Americans use all of the McDonald houses in Metropolitan Los Angeles to a greater percentage than we are a percentage of the popu-lation,” Webb explained. “Our kids are more sick than the general popula-tion so more of our fam-ilies are able to take ad-vantage of the Ronald McDonald houses they can stay close to, to sup-port their children while their children are being treated at children’s hos-

pitals around the area for these very debilitating diseases…” Attendees will also be encouraged to sup-port Ronald McDon-ald House Charities of Southern California by donating to help local families served by the Charity. To learn more about the tour and the 365Black initiative, vis-it www.365Black.com. Letter to the EditorThe Apology, But Where’s the Money!

By Renea Wickman Criminal Justice Re-form is the flavor of the month during this elec-tion season and rightful-ly so. The three strikes law and the mandato-ry life sentences, was sealed by the Clinton Administration. In my opinion, Criminal Jus-tice Reform should be on the top three list of the African American com-munity agenda for candi-dates that want our vote. Now, during this elec-tion season Bill Clinton says he was wrong. Mr. Clinton recently spoke at the NAACP annual meeting in Philadelphia were one of the things he said was, “I signed a bill that made the prob-lem worse, and I want to admit it.” Let’s be clear, Hilary Clinton lobbied just as strong as her hus-band for the three strikes law and mandatory life sentences as her hus-band, “We will final-ly be able to say, loudly and clearly, that for re-peat, violent, criminal offenders: three strikes and you’re out. We are tired of putting you back in through the revolving door.” Well Mr. Clinton, your admittance is just not enough, nor is Mrs. Clin-ton jumping on the band wagon for criminal jus-tice reform enough for the African American families and communi-ties that were torn apart and destroyed because of your policy. I am sure the Clintons knew the full extent of the de-struction their tough on crime policy would cause the black commu-nity. I’m sure they knew even more than we did. And now all we get is a, “I signed a bill that made

the problem worse, and I want to admit it.” How about putting your money where your mouth is! If I am correct, Mr. Clinton left office January 20, 2001 and ac-cording to information the Clintons were broke because of all the law suits. However, by the time Mrs. Clinton ran for President in 2008 and revealed their financial portfolio they were 100 Million dollars strong, seven years later! If the Clintons are tru-ly sorry for their part in recent history of the con-tinued destruction of the black family and com-munity, put their money where their mouth is and put some tens of millions of dollars back into our community to help re-build what they helped to destroy. What we don’t need are more empty apologies and promises. We need money pumped into our community so we ourselves can em-ploy, train and house our thousands of loved ones they proudly incarcerat-ed. It has been some 20 years since many of our loved ones have been locked up and are now coming home. Money is just a start, but it’s a good start. We don’t want your Government programs like AB 109 that went to Law Enforcement and was an utter disaster. Do the right thing, put that money directly in the black community, in the hands of qualified Afri-can American organiza-tion to employ, job train and employ black folks. We don’t need no middle man. Are we really going to let the Clintons just walk away with a “I signed a

bill that made the prob-lem worse, and I want to admit it,” is that all the Clintons have to do to redeem themselves and get our vote for Hil-ary in 2016? Really!? Come on now my peo-ple, we deserve better than that! They put our babies behind bars for 20 years to life for sim-ple drug charges across the country, we make up more than 50% of the prison population. We should be outraged! Do you think the Clintons would forgive us if you put Chelsea Clinton be-hind bars for 20 years to life? What do you think we would have to do to redeem ourselves and get back into their good graces? Please, let’s not make it that easy, be-cause it sets an exam-ple that we are easy and you can continue to de-stroy and tear down our community, and all you have to do is admit that you are wrong. We owe it to the ones who did the time, we owe it to our grand and great grand babies and we owe it to ourselves for having to endure the horror of the injustice that we know was perpetrated on us by the Clinton Admin-istration tough on crime laws. I can assure you that there will be a Clinton campaign and many oth-er Federal and local can-didates coming to town asking for our votes. The first thing we should ask is “Where’s the Money?” I think if the Clintons are sincere along with oth-er politicians that NEED our vote, that is some-thing they can start do-ing now, don’t you?
