Review: What is Lent?Three traditional practices of Lent are:

1. prayer (justice towards God)2. fasting (justice towards self)3. giving to the poor (justice towards neighbor)

Some believers choose to give up a vice, add something to their life that will bring them closer

to God, and often give the time or money spent on vices to church or other charitable purposes.

Most of us have no idea how long we will live. Why not make the

most of every day by investing the time we have on earth in things

that reap eternal dividends?

For Lent, take a moment to reflect on the many ways that we waste

time in things that have no eternal significance.

Pick a way to reinvest that time in a way the honors God and blesses

others.

Suggestions: Arrive at church early and take a moment to get to know a brother

or sister in Christ better.

study or Sunday School class.

free” and reinvest that time in reading with your child or helping

Closing Prayer “Lord, help us number our days

aright and walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,
