This checklist is for your benefit and does not need to be returned to Harding University.

 1. Complete, sign, and submit the Application for International Undergraduate Admission.

 2. Pay the $100 nonrefundable application fee.

 3. Pay refundable $1,000 enrollment deposit. In the event that the student’s visa is denied or the student doesn’t enroll, this money will be refunded.

 4. Complete and submit the Residence Hall Preference form. If you are married, a single-parent, or a single student 23 years old or older and wish to apply for an apartment, you may do so online at harding.edu/admissions/forms/ApartmentPreference or you may request a paper form.

 5. Pay the $140 housing deposit (refundable if cancelled by May 1 for the fall semester, Oct. 1 for the spring semester, or April 1 for summer sessions, or any time if student’s visa is denied). Both application fee and housing deposit are required before acceptance to Harding will be granted and may be paid by credit card or wire transfer.

 6. Applicants whose official native language is not English must demonstrate their current level of proficiency by providing official minimum scores on one of the following:

• Minimum score of 550 (paper-based) or 70 (internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

• Minimum overall band of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

 7. Submit official transcript to the Office of Admissions.

 8. Submit an academic and character reference. The Academic Reference should be given to a principal, guidance counselor or teacher. The Character Reference should be given to a preacher, elder, or long-time friend of your family. Ask them to complete the form and mail it (remember to provide a self-addressed stamped envelope), fax it, or complete it online. You cannot be your own reference.

 9. State law requires that college students be immunized against measles, mumps and rubella (MMR). Submit a copy of your immunization record that includes date when shots were administered and a doctor’s signature.

 10. Submit a photocopy of your current passport.
