The school’s website development team – Mr Andrew Smyth and Mr Craig Mitchell have been working diligently behind the scenes to launch the school’s new website so that it is compliant with the NSW Department of Education’s requirements and all current events. This is particularly important during the current climate. Our new school’s website address is: http://copacabana-p.schools.nsw.gov.au The school’s new website will provide you with the Department’s current information on COVID-19. We will also attach the latest newsletter and relevant information notes can be uploaded onto the school’s website for you to download. School Planning for Excellence As part of our evaluation process, the school will be conducting a parent feedback forum through survey monkey via the school’s Facebook page. The survey will be open on Friday, 20th March and close on the 1st April. It is a very short survey of three questions. We really appreciate your input and support on this survey.

Moran Photography Workshop A professional photographer visited Copacabana Public School to run a full day workshop for a group of our Stage 3 students. The day started with the students looking at sample pictures that illustrated a range of photographic techniques. The students were then provided with a camera to use for the day and received instructions on how to use some of the creative features available in the camera menu. At the end of the day, everyone printed their 5 favourite photos to take home and also selected their best picture to be included in a display.

Star Struck Congratulations to our school Star Struck group on gaining acceptance into this year’s Star Struck ‘Rise Up’ production. Unfortunately, due to various circumstances, Star Struck has been cancelled for 2020. This fantastic group of students will still have the opportunity to represent the school in various dance performances throughout the year. Mrs Johnson and Mrs Robins are extremely proud of their efforts and application, and know that they will represent Copacabana PS with pride.

Having a supportive family

Helping others or 'giving back'

Being able to solve problems and overcome challenges
