Spelling is Fun in 1Purple
We are getting so good at spelling that our minds are always excelling.
Bronte Public School Page 4
We write 3 of our spelling words into meaningful sentences.
We say the word aloud and put down a sticker for every sound we hear. In 1P we say the letters aloud, using clustering and
write the whole word again underneath.
We are extremely “Smart Spellers” in 1 Purple!

BULLETIN Principal’s Message
Hi Everyone,
Thanks to all parents who attended the student led confer-
ences this week. The students love sharing their work with
you. A special mention goes to our amazing teachers who
have been doing a lot of work creating learning goals to
support students to improve their skills and knowledge in
literacy and numeracy.
On Monday night I had the pleasure of seeing the Bronte
Dance Ensemble perform on stage at the State Dance Fes-
tival. It was beautiful! Thank you to Ms Olander, who is
currently supporting classes prepare for our biannual con-
cert that next term.
The school fair raised $60 000. Thanks again everyone for
your time and effort supporting the school. The money is
used for many initiatives at school including the student
toilet upgrade, and extension and support classes for our
students. Mr B organises a number of initiatives such as
debating and Maths Olympiad (to name just two) and Ms
Fizzell supports students who need help with numeracy
and literacy.
This week teachers acknowledged the work of our SASS
staff by hosting a special lunch for them. These people are
the unsung heroes of our school—the office staff, the
handymen and our classroom support aides. Bronte
School would not operate effectively without them.
Are you a plumber ? We need help to connect a bubbler
later in the year.
One little request—please encourage your child to walk
their bike or skateboard out of the school after the bell
rings. This will help keep our playground safe!

Looking to do something cheap and exciting this Spring School Holidays?
Our team Future Events are working alongside Sea Life Trust – a non-profit Registered Environmental Organisa-tion that is passionate about the protection & conserva-tion of marine wildlife on a global scale is launching the first-ever YOUTH INVASION event at the SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium on Friday October 4
th, 2019.
With tickets under $13 (in comparison to general entry at $33) it would be a fantastic opportunity for students and their families to get involved with plenty of activa-tions and also visit the Aquarium at the same time with NO extra costs.
Our aim is to inspire your students to come together and educate others about the protection and conservation of marine wildlife, and potentially join the Ocean Youth Program. Ocean Youth is about educating the young-er generation to utilize their passion and energy to in-spire change.
For more information about the event and ticketing please visit our event page - YOUTH INVASION 2019
