Principal’s Message
Dear Everyone,
It was great to see new faces at last Wednesday night’s P&C AGM. Congratulations to Licia Heath
our new President, Grant Lovett, new treasurer and Vice Presidents Lisa Sherrard and Ilana In-
der. Thank you Katie Denton for managing events and Jen Delesclefs for her job as Secretary.
Please note the next meeting will be on Monday the 11th of March.
Respecting the environment is one of our school rules. We are so lucky to live and work around
Bronte and it's good for students to see you caring for your environment at home. If your child sees
you pick up rubbish that doesn't belong to you, they are much more likely to pick up rubbish at
school. We aim to educate students in caring for the environment as a means to making our world
better for themselves and others.

Throughout the Primary school years students investigate their personal, family and community his-
tory. They develop understanding of Australia’s Indigenous and colonial history and how Australia
became a nation.
Students learn about: historical concepts such as viewing an historical event from a different point
of view and research skills, such as using historical sources for an investigation.
Please find a link to the history syllabus below,

It’s a great time to visit historic places in Sydney. Talking to young children about the changes to
life since you were a child is a great way to introduce history at home.
Have a good Week!
