Nowadays, in the world of fast developing technologies, the demand for engineers is getting stronger. Engineers are the core of the technical civilization enabling society’s development. one month.• 62% of WUT graduates are employed under

graduates, employed on a contract of em-ployment amounts to 5 150 PLN. The high-est earnings reach 40 000 PLN.

At Warsaw University of Technology there are over 100 student research groups. Research projects by students allow them to combine knowledge from their study with practical skills.
University of Technology which, together with the University Sports Association, cares for the physical education of students and popularises sport. The Association’s sports-people regularly take part in masters’ sports competitions:• Polish Championship in athletics, with
qualification for IO 2016 Rio de Janeiro (Damian Czykier – 4×100m relay, 110 m hurdles),

These projects are pioneering in character, and attract interest from outside investors. These include:• WUT Solar Boat – project of a boat with
solar drive ,• PWSat and PWSat2 – the first Polish satel-
lite and its second, more advanced version,• Kropelka – eco-friendly vehicle that 1 liter
of fuel turns on hundreds of kilometres,• Ahti – deepwater research robot, taking
part in MATE Rov Competition, organized by NASA.

Creative Semester of Project (KSP), which sup-ports the development of creative thinking and accelerate evolution, enjoys every season great interest of students.
INFOX – A NEW APPROACH TO TEACHINGValuable engineer have a lot of important skills: creativity, good in teamwork, solving non-trivial problems. They cannot be learned from the Internet! Therefore, the Warsaw University of Technology carried out an inno-vative form of education, based on the busi-ness methodologies:• Project Based Learning,• Design Thinking.
• transfer of technology is managed,• commercialization of inventions and new
solutions is supervised,• students and scientist work together in
innovation incubators,• young scientists have the space and condi-

WUT CENTRE FOR INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER MANAGEMENTis an original project of Warsaw University of Technology. The activity of the Centre covers the area of commercialisation and technol-ogy transfer. It is a Warsaw Technological Space where:• research and scientific projects are

From idea, through the invention to company
*On 14th November 2014 the Senate of WUT accepted the objectives of the Warsaw University of Technology Long-term Investment Program-me for 2015–2026. Over the next 10 years fifteen already existing, ma-inly historical, buildings of WUT will be redeveloped and regenerated. Almost 70 thousand square metres of new space will be created as part of the investment project.
Chosen for a four-year term of office, the Rectors oversee the fulfilment of the Mission of Warsaw University of Technology, an im-portant assumption of which is adaptation of the education process and scientific research to the vision of the society of the future.
