8983 titled “Complementing food security through selection of

superior & stable genotypes of major crops”. The appointment will

successfully defended her PhD thesis on 13-12-2019. The title of her thesis was “Phytotherapic profiling of fennel to manifest

its functional and nutraceutical potential”.

17. Miss Rashida Humma, Regd. No. 2011-ag-1187, PhD Biochemistry student of the Department of Biochemistry has

successfully re-defended her synopsis titled “Cloning and expression of cyclotide gene from indigenous plant species of

violaceae” as required under the rules on 07-12-2015.

18. Miss Sobia Kanwal, Regd. No. 2013-ag-584, PhD student, Department of Zoology, Wildlife & Fisheries, has successfully

defended her PhD thesis entitled “Impact of water Pollution on the existence of soil macro-fauna among cauliflower (Brassica

oleracea var. bortrytis) and tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) fields” on 13-12-2019 as required under rule.

19. Mr. Madassar Walait, Regd. No. 2010-ag-2599, PhD student at Department of Plant Pathology has successfully defended his

synopsis on 17-05-2017 in Department of Plant Pathology. The title of his synopsis was “Assessment of pathogen diversity in

Xanthomonas oryzae pv. Oryzae and exploitation of host plant resistance for its management”. Now he need to change his

research work. The new title will be “Role of epidemiological factors in the development of fusarium wilt of chillies and its

management”. He will re-defend his synopsis on 20-12-2019 at 02:30 pm at Department of Plant Pathology.

20. Miss Tahira Ahmed, Regd. No. 2011-ag-1018 Ph.D. Scholar Department of Physics has successfully defended her revised

synopsis titled “Spectroscopic studies to explore the potential of gold nanoparticles-DNA interaction for cancer diagnosis” on

06-12-2019 as required under the rules.
