Dear Parish Family, A warm welcome to you, our faithful parishioners and all who may be joining us today for Mass. Please know you always have a home at the Church of Saint Mary! CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK: Catholic Schools Week begins today Sunday, January 31 until Saturday, February 6. Please join us in thanking God through the intercession of our Blessed Mother for Saint Mary Catholic School: Building the Faith; One Child at a Time. At all the Masses a Parent will speak to us before Mass begins about Catholic Education and after Communion their child, a student in our school will speak to us about how Saint Mary has influenced his or her life. Saint Mary Catholic School was established in 1961 under the good leadership of the Sisters of Saint Francis of Philadelphia and dedicated Lay faculty. On November 25, 2016 Saint Mary Catholic School will celebrate its 55th Anniversary with the theme: 55 and ALIVE! Please spread the word to family, friends and graduates to join us for this celebratory event. OPEN HOUSE: 3:00 until 4:30PM in the School, followed by Mass at 5:00PM in the Church followed by Cocktails and Preprandials at 6:00PM in the Parish Hall followed by Dinner. More details to follow! All parishioners and friends of Saint Mary Parish are welcomed to this event! Please SAVE THE DATE! SCRIP PROGRAM: Saint Mary Church is offering the ability to PRE-ORDER Scrip on line. Yeah!!! It is quick, easy and user friendly. All you need to do is log on to our Parish Web Site or our School Web Site. Click the SCRIP PROGRAM button (on the home screen) and it will bring you to our SCRIP ORDER FORM. Please fill out your SCRIP ORDER FORM by THURSDAY at NOON at the latest for the upcoming weekend and hit the SEND button. Our volunteers will process your SCRIP ORDER and have it ready for you by the beginning of the weekend. You will be able to pick up your SCRIP ORDER by Friday at the SCHOOL OR SUNDAY at the SCRIP ROOM (located at the side vestibule in the rear of the Church). On your ORDER FORM you tell us when and where you wish to pick it up and we will have it ready for you! Just make sure you have it ordered by THURSDAY at NOON at the latest for the upcoming weekend. No more waiting! It kind of works the same way as CVS when you order your RX. If you do not have a computer at home - NO WORRIES - Please stop by or call the Parish House (Monday through Friday 9 AM until 4 PM) and we will fill your order. PLEASE NOTE: SCRIP ORDERS will not be filled at the SCRIP ROOM in our Church. The SCRIP ROOM will only be used for PICK-UP! Thanks for your patience and cooperation! A very big Thank You to all of our Scrip Volunteers! Thank you very much! FOOTBALL MANIA SUPER BOWL SWEEPSTAKES: The Football Mania Super Match Sweepstakes for the SUPER BOWL GAME is another fun fundraiser that everyone can participate in, even if you do not know anything about football (like me). Participants win prize money when the numbers on the back of their game card match the score at the end of each quarter of play for the Super Bowl game. That means each game card has 4 chances to win! EACH CARD ONLY COSTS $5 and is available for sale in the PARISH HOUSE and on select weekends in the main vestibule of our church as we get closer to SUPER BOWL SUNDAY which is on February 7. Don't miss out on all the fun! GO TEAM!! MEMORIAL TREE OF LIFE: Have you seen our new MEMORIAL TREE OF LIFE in the main vestibule of our church? It is beautiful! We kindly thank the anonymous parishioner and her spouse who donated this new addition to our church in honor of Father Francis (Sam) Kelly, our 5th Pastor. Father Kelly is alive and well and lives close by Saint Mary Church. He is well loved by all who know him. He is a dedicated, holy priest of God. If you wish to have a name of a loved one (living or deceased) remembered on our MEMORIAL TREE OF LIFE please call the Parish House for more information. All names on the TWO FORMER MEMORIAL BOARDS have been transcribed to the NEW MEMORIAL TREE OF LIFE. PRAYER PILLOW CASES: Saint Mary Church is now selling PRAYER PILLOWCASES. BVM, St. Therese, Guardian Angels, St. Michael the Archangel, Divine Mercy and many others. Please stop by the Parish House and take a look. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL! They only cost $15. They make great gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, First Holy Communions, Confirmations and a Get Well gift. All proceeds go towards new tables and new chairs in our Parish Hall.

Have a great week, everyone!

Love and prayers, Father Bellopede

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY DIVINE MERCY BY STEPHEN BINZ Join us for this 6-week Lenten study as we focus on God’s mercy as revealed to

us in Sacred Scripture. God’s mercy, in both the Old and New Testaments, is the core of biblical revelation and the expression of God’s own heart. God cares deeply about the plight of people and shows deep compassion in their suffering. Again and again, God demonstrates faithful love for the world and calls people to a joyful and abundant life. Our experience of divine mercy encourages and obliges us to become witnesses of mercy ourselves. If God treats us mercifully and forgives us, then we too must forgive and demonstrate works of mercy to one another. Two sessions will be offered on Thursdays from 10-11:30 A.M. or 7-8:30 P.M. beginning February 11, 2016. Please contact Linda Nichols at (215) 256-4941 or [email protected] by February 5th to register. There will be a nominal fee for the study guide.

HELP NEEDED Library: We're in need of a few volunteers to help out in our parish library for a few hours once a month on Sunday morning. No experience needed - just a willing heart! Please contact Linda Nichols at (215) 256-4941 or [email protected] to inquire. Scrip Room: New volunteers are always welcomed. If you can help out for 20 minutes after a weekend Mass to hand out scrip orders please contact the Parish House at 610-287-8156 or [email protected].
