Kingsgate Invitational Saturday, June 6, 20158:30 a.m.Kingsgate Monarchs Pool

Dear Coaches and Parent Reps,

We are excited to host the 7th annual Kingsgate Invitational Swim Meet at our pool on Saturday, June 6, 2015! Please read the following information carefully and be sure to pass it along to your team leadership, parents, and swimmers.

This is a really fun event for our neighboring swimmers and to make it all go smoothly there is some preparation work involved, as most of you know. The team volunteer assignment spreadsheet is attached as a separate document and the completed volunteer information for your team should be emailed back to me by Wednesday, June 3rd. (We thank you in advance for providing only one volunteer per shift in the assigned areas.) If you have people new to a job, such as Starter, Announcer, Stroke and Turn, etc. and they would like to shadow an experienced person please let me know and we can make arrangements. This is a great way to gain some confidence in a new role – and it is a fun meet to do it at!

We have Kingsgate Invitational Swim Meet t-shirts to sell this year (see the logo for them above)! I am attaching a t-shirt pre-order form. Please pass this along to all of the members of your team. I have put down the final order date for Monday, May 25th in order to get them to the printer and in your hands at the Invitational (we will have them organized by team so you can distribute them at the meet). It would be really helpful if you could collect all of the payments and order forms from your team and then turn them in all at once to our pool office on May 25th so we won’t have them trickling in. We will have a few extra t-shirts available for sale at the Invitational but we can’t guarantee availability of these. See the order form for more details.

Last year one of the teams requested that this meet be sanctioned. If your team is interested in setting this up for this year’s meet, please let me know. Midlakes has the information on their website as to how you can set this up.

Other details…

Parking will be on a first-come, first-serve basis in our parking lot. There is also plenty of parking around our neighborhood, near our 4 different park entrances, as most of you already know. Please be considerate of our neighbors and give them a "hello" if you see them out and about in the neighborhood.

There is plenty of room in our park to set-up chairs, canopies, etc. so please tell your team members to feel free to spread out and make themselves comfortable. (Please remember, there are no dogs allowed in our park.) There will be no "camping out" on the pool deck, but spectators are welcome to come and cheer the swimmers on.

Concessions will be available – breakfast items, drinks, and lots of snacks!
