Concluding remarksConcluding remarks Rock-inhabiting plants of the mountainous interior of
Karpathos (e.g., Mount Kalilimni) are less exposed to environmental threat.
The most endangered habitats of the rare plants of Karpathos are the sandy costs not yet touched or fully occupied by the economically important beach tourism..
Educational advertising on their natural history significance, and careful population monitoring of local rare species (no matter whether endemic or not) is permanently needed - to the benefit of the local people and their rich cultural traditions and natural heritage.
