MMS Chain Prayer will be arranged from Tuesday 5th August at 6pm to Wednesday 6th August, 6pm. Fasting Prayer is scheduled for 9th August, at Abbasiya Parsonage, from 9am to 11am. "Bible Masacharanam" is commenced from July 15 to August 15. All the ladies in the Parish should partici-pate in this so that we can finish reading the Holy Bible in one month. Akhila Malankara Marth Mariam Samajam examina-tion will be held on 17th October 2014. Those who are not registered, please give their names to the office bearers. Feast of St. Elias will be celebrated on Friday 1st August 2014. St. Elias Prayer Group Abbassiya will distribute Nercha at all Church locations.
Sunday School OCYM
All Sunday School Students and Teachers are requested to observe the Soonoyo lent with rever-ence, attend worship as per schedule and be blessed.
OVBS 2014 concluded on Thursday, 17-July with a colourful rally and grand stage programs by 530 students and 63 Teachers. The public function was presided by Vicar and participated by Associate Vicar, Sabha Managing Committee Members, Parish Office Bearers, SS Headmaster, OVBS Superintendent Mr. Mathai Varghese V. OVBS Director, Rev. Fr. George Prasad was presented with the token of love on behalf of Students and Parishioners by Parish Trustee.
OVBS Star Trophy was awarded to Master Justin Oommen Varghese (S/o Varghese Oommen - V084) and OVBS Runner-Up Trophy was won by Miss Meril Susan Sam (D/o Sam Kunjoonju - S001)
We are thankful to one and all for making OVBS 2014 a grand success.
OVBS 2015 will be held from 2-July-2015 to 16-July-2015. Please plan your vacations accordingly.
Sunday School Talent Scan has been rescheduled to 24-October for KG, Infants and Primary and 14-November for Juniors, Intermediate and Seniors, whose Essay Competition will be held on 30-October. Students are requested to return the filled-in registra-tion forms at the earliest.
General meeting & Independence day celebration will be held on Friday 15th August 2014, at 11.30am at office parsonage - Abbasiya.

15 days lent starts on Friday 1st August and ends on Friday 15th August. Soonoyo lent is observed in the name of the mother of God and in remembrance of her Assumption.Soonoyo Perunal service will be celebrated at NECK, Abbassiya and Salmiya services on Friday 15th August. Nercha will be served by St. Marys and St. Jospeh Prayer Groups. Let us submit ourselves to the Lord in the valuable intercession of St. Mary.
