dición de las mascotas. El viernes 4 de octubre

es el Memorial de San Francisco de Asís.

San Francisco nació en 1181 en Asís, Italia. Se

inspiró en un estudio cuidadoso de los Evangeli-

os para vivir simplemente y servir a los pobres.

San Francisco ha llegado al corazón de todas

las personas religiosas por su amor a Dios y al

prójimo, así como a todas las criaturas de Dios.

Por favor traiga a su (s) mascota (s) al pórtico

de la iglesia el viernes a partir de las 6:00 p.m.

La ceremonia incluirá una bendición y rociar

Dear Parishioners,

On Friday of this week we will celebrate the

Blessing of the Pets. Friday, October 4 is the

Memorial of Saint Francis of Assisi.

Saint Francis was born in 1181 in Assisi, Italy.

He was inspired by a careful study of the Gos-

pels to live simply and to serve the poor.

Saint Francis has captured the heart of all

religious people by his love for God and neigh-

bor, as well as all God’s creatures.

Please bring your pet(s) to the portico of the

church on Friday beginning at 6:00 p.m. The

ceremony will include a blessing and sprin-

kling with holy water. Every pet will receive a

special medal of Saint Francis!

God, you enabled Saint Francis to imitate

Christ by his poverty and humility. Walking in

Saint Francis’ footsteps, may we follow your

Son and be bound to you by a joyful love.
