Changes to drumMUSTER ServiceUpper Lachlan Shire Council wishes to advise the community of changes to the drumMUSTER service.drumMUSTER allows for the safe and environmentally-friendly disposal of farming chemical containers.Due to the large number of contaminated containers being disposed of at Council’s waste facilities, the drumMUSTERservice will only be available at the following times, unless otherwise advised:• Crookwell Waste Facility: Mondays and Fridays10.00am-3.00pm• Gunning Waste Facility: Wednesdays 10.00am-3.00pm• Taralga Waste Facility: Thursdays 10.00am-3.00pmThe changes will allow Council staff to ensure containersmeet drumMUSTER’s cleanliness standards and can besafely recycled.Anyone using the drumMUSTER service must complete a‘Container Cleanliness Declaration Form’ at the time of disposal. Upper Lachlan Shire Council’s kerbside garden waste collection service will recommence in Crookwell onTuesday, 10 September 2019.The service recommenced in Gunning, Dalton, Breadalbaneand Collector on Wednesday, 4 September 2019 and inBinda, Laggan, Grabben Gullen, Taralga and Golspie onThursday, 5 September 2019.Households are reminded that no food waste or timber areto be disposed of in the green-lidded bin. Only the following, un-bagged garden waste is permitted:• Branches and twigs• Grass, leaves and weeds• Garden pruningsCouncil’s garden waste service operates in spring, summerand autumn. Are you looking to earn some money over summer?Want to work outdoors and gain practical experience ina role that requires you to be a responsible person andshow initiative?Upper Lachlan Shire Council is looking for energeticand enthusiastic Swimming Pool Attendants to providelifeguard supervision and undertake operational andmaintenance duties at Gunning and CrookwellSwimming Pools over the upcoming swimming seasonfrom 2 November 2019 up to 29 March 2020 (subject toweather) with an opportunity for work in future seasons.Depending on suitable applicant’s availability, a maximum of 38 hours a week may be offered.Applicants must be aged over 18, hold a current driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle,possess a current Pool Lifeguard Certificate or be willing to acquire, (Council may reimburse trainingfees), have completed a Working with Children Checkand be able to work flexible hours, including weekends.The position is Grade 3 Step Minimum $29.65 (includescasual loading). Weekend penalty rates also apply, inaccordance with the Local Government (State) Awardand Council’s salary system.
