Applications for further dates will be accepted from Thursday, 10 October 2019. Bookings will only be accepted in person at Council’s Crookwell Office, 44 Spring Street, Crookwell. All applicants will be provided with Council’s current Fundraising and Street Stalls Policy and will be required to sign a form acknowledging receipt. All organisations are required to bring a copy of their current Public Liability Policy/Certificate of Currency for a minimum of $10 million at the time of booking. For further information, please contact Council’s Customer Service Team on 4830 1000. 2020 Street Stall Bookings Garden Waste Collection Recommences Changes to drumMUSTER Service Upper Lachlan Shire Council wishes to advise the community of changes to the drumMUSTER service. drumMUSTER allows for the safe and environmentally- friendly disposal of farming chemical containers. Due to the large number of contaminated containers being disposed of at Council’s waste facilities, the drumMUSTER service will only be available at the following times, unless otherwise advised: Crookwell Waste Facility: Mondays and Fridays 10.00am-3.00pm Gunning Waste Facility: Wednesdays 10.00am-3.00pm Taralga Waste Facility: Thursdays 10.00am-3.00pm The changes will allow Council staff to ensure containers meet drumMUSTER’s cleanliness standards and can be safely recycled. Anyone using the drumMUSTER service must complete a ‘Container Cleanliness Declaration Form’ at the time of disposal. Forms are available at Council’s waste facilities. Positions Vacant Swimming Pool Attendants Are you looking to earn some money over summer? Want to work outdoors and gain practical experience in a role that requires you to be a responsible person and show initiative? Upper Lachlan Shire Council is looking for energetic and enthusiastic Swimming Pool Attendants to provide lifeguard supervision and undertake operational and maintenance duties at Gunning and Crookwell Swimming Pools over the upcoming swimming season from 2 November 2019 up to 29 March 2020 (subject to weather) with an opportunity for work in future seasons. Depending on suitable applicant’s availability, a maximum of 38 hours a week may be offered. Applicants must be aged over 18, hold a current driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle, possess a current Pool Lifeguard Certificate or be willing to acquire, (Council may reimburse training fees), have completed a Working with Children Check and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends. The position is Grade 3 Step Minimum $29.65 (includes casual loading). Weekend penalty rates also apply, in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council’s salary system. Higher salary will be available for applicants demonstrating superior skills and experience. All applications must address the selection criteria contained in the information package, which is available on Council’s website: www.upperlachlan.nsw.gov.au.
