1 Managing Trackers
1.1 Configuring a Tracker
Scenarios
You can configure the OBS storage and key event notification for a created tracker.
l Configuring Transfer Trace to OBS: You can select whether to send recorded traces tothe OBS bucket:– Select an existing OBS bucket or create an OBS bucket on the configuration page.
CTS automatically attaches dumping policies to the OBS bucket.
NOTE
You must select a standard OBS bucket because CTS needs to frequently access the OBSbucket that stores traces.
– The trace file prefix is used to mark the dumped trace file. This field supportscustomization by users and can be automatically added in front of the name of adumped file to help users quickly filter out files.
– After enabling Verify Trace File, check whether data in OBS buckets is tamperedto ensure integrity of trace files.
– Encrypt the dumped trace files to improve storage security. Encryption keys areprovided by KMS.
l Key Event Notification: You can select whether to send an email and a text message orother notifications through HTTP/HTTPS in the event of a key operation. This functionis triggered by CTS, but notifications need to be sent by SMN. Therefore, you need toenable SMN and create a notification topic before enabling this configuration item. Youcan select Typical or All based on actual requirements:– Typical: CTS is suitable for routine audit of enterprises. Currently, CTS can enable
text notifications pertaining to key operations such as creating and deleting somecore resources of ECS, VPC, EVS, and KMS, and logging in to IAM.
NOTE
Because IAM is a global service, the Login function is only provided for central region ofthe current site. After this function is enabled, SMN deployed in the central region will sendnotifications upon the login of any region.

– All: This scenario is suitable for interconnecting with your own audit systems. Itcan enable text notifications through SMN for operations of creating, deleting, orchanging resources of ECS, IMS, EVS, CSBS, VBS, VPC, DNS, ELB, ULB, IAM,KMS, RDS, DDS, SFS, DMS, and OBS, as well as relevant operations triggered byinvoking FusionSphere OpenStack APIs. When All is selected, you cannot modifyany settings, and CTS sends text notifications for all traces sent from interconnectedservices by default. You are advised to use the SMN topic for which HTTPS isselected.
After a tracker is configured, new rules take effect immediately.
This section describes how to configure a tracker.
Prerequisites
CTS has been enabled.
Procedure1. Log in to the management console.
2. Click in the upper left corner of the management console and select a region andproject.
3. Click Service List and select Cloud Trace Service under Management & Deployment.4. Click Tracker in the left pane.5. Click Configure in the Operation column.
– If you select Yes for Transfer Trace to OBS and No for Create a New OBSBucket, you can perform the following operations:n Select an existing OBS bucket or create an OBS bucket on the configuration
page.n Determine whether to enable Verify Trace File to ensure integrity of trace
files.n Determine whether to encrypt the files stored in the OBS bucket and select a
created KMS key.If selecting Do not use for Transfer Trace to OBS, you do not need to configureany parameter.
– If you select Yes for Send Notification, you need to configure the followingparameters:n You can select an existing topic or click Create Topic to create a topic on the
SMN page.n You can select Typical or All based on actual requirements.Table 1-1 lists the parameters.

File Prefix Used for identifying the logs stored in theOBS bucket. This parameter is optional. The value is a string of no more than 64characters, and can contain letters, digits, hyphens (-), underscores (_), and periods(.).NOTE
When a tracker is created, a file prefixcontaining four random characters will beautomatically created.
N/A
Key Name Used for marking the key name of tracefiles dumped and encrypted in the OBSbucket
N/A
Topic Select the SMN topic for whichnotifications are sent.NOTE
When All is selected, notifications will betriggered by all operations performed on theECS, IMS, EVS, CSBS, VBS, VPC, DNS, ELB,ULB, IAM, KMS, RDS, DDS, SFS, OBS, andDMS services. Traces contain sensitive data ofcustomers, such as tenant and deviceinformation. As a result, HTTPS-encryptedtransmission is recommended. It isrecommended that you use the SMN topics withHTTPS subscriptions.
N/A
Trigger Condition Typical: supports creating, deleting, andlogin operations on instances or resources. You must select at least one triggercondition.Such operations include creating anddeleting some core operations of ECS,VPC, EVS, and KMS, as well as loginoperations on IAM.
