What Are These Numbers

作定语
分词可以修饰名词,做前置定语。That must have been a terrifying
experience.
I found him a charming person.
单个分词修饰名词一般前置,下列情况通常后置:(1) 过去分词表示较强的动作性;(2) 分词本身带有修饰语构成分词短语放在名词的后面修饰名词,相当于一个定语从句。
Are these the books ordered?
The man standing there is my father.
There are three students waiting for
you at the gate of the school.
Present and Past Participles 现在分词和过去分词 ·· 分词( The Participle )有两种:现在分词 (The Present Participle) 和过去分词 (The Past Participle) 。分词具有动词的特征以及形容词或副词的功能。一般来说,现在分词表示主动和动作正在进行;过去分词表示被动和动作已经完成。

独立结构分词的独立结构作状语。构成:分词的逻辑主语 + 分词。有时也可用介词 with 引出。
