STM Ladies Altar Society Next Meeting will be Sunday, September 30th after 8 am. Mass in the Parish Hall. They usually meet on the second Sunday. All women of the parish are welcome. For more info call Heidi Nees at (850) 384-6742.

(850)458-2361 Book Club Meeting – The next meeting is Tuesday, October 2nd at 9:30 am in the Parish Office and Activities Center. The book for September is Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate. Traditional Latin Masses— First Tuesday, October 2nd at 6:00 pm

Third Sunday, October 21st at 12:30 pm

Traditional Latin Masses are held every third Sunday and every first Tuesday of the month unless otherwise noted. EVERY FRIDAY, Eucharistic Adoration 7 am -8 am. First Friday, Mass at 6:40 am with Eucharistic Holy Hour 7-8:00 am. Unless otherwise noted. First Love Adoration on October 5th, with praise and prayer from 6-8:00 pm with reception following in Parish Hall . This is held the first Friday of every month unless otherwise noted. First Saturday, The Holy Rosary will be recited at 3:30 pm in the church in honor of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and her request at Fatima in 1917.

Saturday, September 29th—Volunteer Appreciation Reception in the Parish Hall following 4 pm Mass.

Tuesday, October 2nd— Traditional Latin Mass 6 pm.

Wednesday, October 3rd—Faith Formation—WORD of GOD in the Parish Hall 6pm to 7:30pm.

Thursday, October 4th—Blessing of Animals in Saint Francis Garden at 6 pm.

Thursday, October 4th—RCIA in the Parish Office fol-lowing the Saint Francis Blessing of Pets.

Friday, October 5th— First Friday Love Adoration from 6:00 pm—8:00 pm with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall.

BISHOP RICARD CONFERENCE

Conference will be held Saturday, October 6 at Saint Sylvester Parish. Bishop Wack will be the celebrant for the 8:45 Mass. Msgr. Michael Carruthers is the English Keynote presenter and Bishop Wack is the Spanish Keynote presenter. Cost is $30 per person and includes Mass, continental breakfast, lunch and 3 breakout sessions. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Regular weekly Religious Education classes will start on Sunday, September 9th. Classes take place from 8:50 –9:50 am in the parish office behind the church. The schedule is as follows:

October: 7, 14, 21, 28

November: 4, 11, 18—No class on the 25th

WANT TO BECOME CATHOLIC?

For those interested in becoming Catholic: R.C.I.A. (Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults). Please join us in the Parish Office and Activities Center, 412 Bayshore Drive, on Thursday, October 4th following the Saint Francis Blessing of Pets. We will have an informal discussion about the process of becoming Catholic and pre-paring for Easter Sacraments of Initiation.

FAITH FORMATION

WORD OF GOD Wednesday, October 3rd at 6 pm we will continue the faith study on Vatican II’s Dogmatic Constitution on the WORD of GOD (Dei Verbum), with Father Nicholas Schumm facilitating. All adults are invited to join us in the Parish Hall for this in-depth study of God’s Word and the teachings of the Second Vatican Council. The studies start at 6 pm and will conclude about 7:30 pm.

YOUNG ADULT ACTIVITIES

- Discipleship on Draft is back! Tuesday, October 2nd at Garys Home Brew, 3403 Gulf Beach Highway.

- Advent Reflection Day will be Saturday, December 15th at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.

- For all young adults 18-35 single, married...Hearts Aflame: Praying with the Scriptures presented by the Apostles of the Sacred Heart. Mondays on Zoom at 7:30 pm ET/6:30 pm CT. Email Sr. Angela at [email protected] or go to ascjus.org.

BLESSING OF ANIMALS

The Blessing of Pets & Animals in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi will take place on his feast day on Thursday, October 4th starting at 6:00 pm in the Saint Francis Garden/Parish Yard. It is only a 30 mi-nute service. All creatures of our God and King are welcome!
