Dr. Serge FORESTIERSerge Forestier joined TÜV SÜD Process Safety more than 5 years ago to work in the field of explosion prevention, and more specifically the electrostatic ignition sources. He is also involved in risk analyses, either focusing on the process or on the consequence of accidents happening on industrial sites.
Dr. Thomas GMEINWIESERThomas Gmeinwieser is working as a process safety expert in different fields for more than 20 years. His main expertise is in ATEX, electrostatics, thermal process safety, design of emergency relief systems and in leading risk analysis. Before joigning TÜV SÜD Process Safety he was working as head of a safety laboratory in the chemical industry. Thomas Gmeinwieser represents TÜV SÜD Process Safety in Germany.
Dr. Annik NANCHENAnnik Nanchen has been working as a consultant for process safety for the past ten years at TÜV SÜD Process Safety and DSM. She is a chemical engineer by training (EPFL) and performed a thesis in biotechnology (ETH). She is mainly involved in the moderation of risk analysis (HAZOP, ZHA...), the assessment of thermal safety of processes and the design of pressure relief systems in small-medium and multinational companies.

Dr. Markus SCHMIDMarkus Schmid has over 25 years of experience working in process development of leading chemical and life science companies. He has a sound chemical engineering background and expertise in the modelling and simulation of chemical processes. His major subjects of interest are in thermal process safety and risk analysis. Before joining TÜV SÜD Process Safety he worked as an independent principal consultant and engineer advising customers in the chemical and process industry mainly in the fields of applied thermodynamics and process challenging.
Oliver STRENGOliver Streng is a Pharmaceutical- and state approved Safety Engineer with over 10 years of experience in chemical-/pharmaceutical Industries. He is a consultant in an international environment for the world’s leading chemical-/pharmaceutical companies with machinery directive 2006/42/EG as main focus, moderation of various risk analyses and trainings and audits (e.g. Electrostatic, ATEX, Thermal Process Safety, HAZOP, Lab Safety/BBS or machine safety) for customers worldwide. Beside his activities as a consultant he is active in federal working parties and development of exams for the latest education in occupational safety.
Coen VAN DRIELCoen van Driel has over 20 years of experience to make sustainable performance improvement happen for customers in the Chemical, Pharma, Oil and Energy industry. His subjects of interest and main expertise are in realizing change in Operational excellence, lean manufacturing, asset management and process safety. Before joigning TÜV SÜD, he was working as Global Head of Process Safety for 5 years in a consulting firm in Europe.

Sören ALTESSören Altes hat Maschinenbau studiert (Fachrichtung Verfahrenstechnik) und war lange als Projektingenieur im Anlagenbau in der chemischen Industrie tätig. Zusätzlich konnte er auch Erfahrungen in der Betriebsbetreuung und als Reliability Engineer sammeln. Seit über 6 Jahren ist Sören Altes in der Prozesssicherheit für TÜV SÜD Process Safety tätig. Seine Schwerpunkte sind Explosionsschutz, Maschinenrichtlinie und Risikoanalysen.
Orkun CATIOrkun Cati hat chemische Verfahrenstechnik studiert. Er hat über 20 Jahre in der Basler Prozessindustrie gearbeitet. Im Anlagen- und Maschinenbau bediente er weltweit Trocknungs- und thermische Trennverfahren mit sicheren Vakuum- und Drucktechnologien in ATEX-Betriebszonen (2006/42/EG, 2014/34/EU, 2014/68/EU). Als Prozessingenieur schloss er zusätzlich ein Ökonomiestudium ab (MAS BEM).
Dr. Didier GANDINIDidier Gandini hat an der Eidgenössischen Technischen Hochschule in Lausanne Chemie studiert und als Chemieingenieur abgeschlossen. Anschliessend hat er ein Nachdiplomstudium absolviert und als Brandschutzspezialist CFPA-E und Sicherheitsingenieur abgeschlossen. Seit 2003 ist Didier Gandini als Experte für Brandschutz, Arbeitssicherheit sowie Explosionsschutz tätig.
Dr. Thomas GMEINWIESERThomas Gmeinwieser ist seit mehr als 20 Jahren als Prozesssicherheitsexperte in verschiedenen Bereichen tätig. Seine Expertise liegt hauptsächlich im Bereich des Explosionsschutzes, der Elektrostatik, der thermischen Prozesssicherheit, der Auslegung von Druckentlastungssystemen und in der Durchführung von systematischen Gefährdungsbeurteilungen. Vor seiner Tätigkeit bei TÜV SÜD Process Safety war er viele Jahre Leiter eines Sicherheitslabors in der chemischen Industrie. Thomas Gmeinwieser repräsentiert TÜV SÜD Process Safety in Deutschland.

UNSERE EXPERTEN
Christian kUBAINSkYChristian Kubainsky hat Sicherheitstechnik an der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal mit der Fachrichtung Brand- und Explosions-schutz studiert und als Sicherheitsingenieur abgeschlossen. Er ist seit 1989 auf dem Gebiet des Explosionsschutzes tätig. Zu seinem Tätigkeitsbereich gehören Ausbildungen in den Fachgebieten konstruktiver Explosionsschutz und Elektrostatik. Weiterhin leitet er das Elektrostatik- und Brandlabor bei TÜV SÜD Process Safety.
Dr. Annik NANCHEN Annik Nanchen war in den letzten 10 Jahren als Prozesssicherheitsberaterin bei TÜV SÜD Process Safety und DSM tätig. Sie ist Chemie Ingenieurin (EPFL) und hat in Biotechnologie an der ETH promoviert. Sie arbeitet hauptsächlich als Moderatorin von Risikoanalysen (HAZOP, ZHA...), beurteilt die thermische Sicherheit von Prozessen und legt Druckentlastungseinrichtungen aus.
Matthias RIzzIMatthias Rizzi ist seit vielen Jahren als Prozesssicherheitsexperte tätig. Er ist ausgebildeter Chemiker und Strahlenschutz-sachverständiger. Seine Schwerpunkte liegen in der Durchführung systematischer Gefährdungsbeurteilungen, dem Explosionsschutz, dem Strahlenschutz und der Notfallintervention. Bevor er zum TÜV SÜD Schweiz kam, arbeitete er in Forschung und Industrie als Sicherheitsexperte. Neben seiner Tätigkeit als Prozesssicheheitsexperte ist er im Militär als Milizoffizier und Experte für Chemie im Bereich der ABC Abwehr und im Messzug der Industriefeuerwehr Basel als Spezialist aktiv.

Dr. Markus SCHMIDMarkus Schmid bringt mehr als 25 Jahre Erfahrung aus der Verfahrensentwicklung bei führenden chemischen und Life Science Unternehmen mit. Er ist ausgebildeter Chemieingenieur und Spezialist in der Modellierung und Simulation von chemischen Prozessen. Seine Schwerpunkte liegen hauptsächlich in der thermischen Prozesssicherheit und Risikoanalysen. Vor seiner Tätigkeit bei TÜV SÜD Process Safety arbeitete er als selbstständiger Berater für Firmen in der chemischen und verwandten Industrie vor allem auf den Gebieten der angewandten Thermodynamik und Prozessanalyse anspruchsvoller Verfahren.
Mischa SCHWANINGERMischa Schwaninger ist Chemiker FH und hat seinen Abschluss an der Fachhochschule beider Basel 2002 gemacht. Seine industrielle Erfahrung machte er anfänglich in der Prozessentwicklung und später als Leiter eines Sicherheitslabors. Zusätzlich absolvierte er ein Nachdiplomstudium und schloss als Sicherheitsingenieur ab. Seit 2011 arbeitet Mischa Schwaninger bei TÜV SÜD Process Safety als Leiter des Prüflabors.
Oliver STRENGOliver Streng ist Pharmatechnik,- und staatlich geprüfter Sicherheitsingenieur mit über 10 Jahren Erfahrung in der chemisch-/pharmazeutischen Industrie. Er arbeitet als Berater Prozesssicherheit für führende Firmen. Seine Schwerpunkte umfassen die Maschinenrichtlinie 2006/42/EG, Moderation von Risikoanalysen sowie Audits und Trainings in vielen Bereichen (z.B. Elektrostatik, ATEX, Thermische Prozesssicherheit, HAZOP, Laborsicherheit/BBS). Neben seiner Rolle als Berater ist er auch aktiv als Prüfungsautor für einen neuen Studiengang in Arbeitssicherheit.

Dr. Serge FORESTIERSerge Forestier a rejoint TÜV SÜD il y a plus de quatre ans dans le but de travailler sur la thématique de la prévention contre les explosions et plus particulièrement sur celle des sources d’inflammation électrostatiques. Il participe également à diverses analyses de risques, qu’elles soient orientées “procédés” ou bien qu’elles concernent l’estimation des conséquences d’un accident se produisant sur un site industriel.
Dr. Didier GANDINIDidier Gandini est ingénieur chimiste de l’Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. Il a complété ce cursus par des diplômes de spécialiste en protection incendie avec le CFPA-Europe, ainsi que d’ingénieur de sécurité. Il est actif depuis 2003 dans les domaines de la protection incendie, de la sécurité au travail et de la protection contre les explosions.
Dr. Annik NANCHENAnnik Nanchen a une formation d’ingénieur chimiste (EPFL) et une thèse en biotechnologie (ETH). Ces dix dernières années elle a travaillé comme spécialiste en sécurité des procédés chez TÜV SÜD Process Safety et DSM. Elle s’occupe principalement de la modération d’analyses de risques (HAZOP, ZHA…), de l’évaluation du risque thermique et l’élaboration de mesures de réduction des risques pour des procédés chimiques ainsi que du dimensionnement d’évents de secours.

Sylvain OLIVERSylvain Oliver est diplômé de l’école d’ingénieur CPE Lyon en chimie et génie des procédés. Après plusieurs années en France et en Allemagne, il a rejoint TÜV SÜD Process Safety à Bâle. Consultant en protection contre les explosions, il est également spécialisé en analyses des risques pour l’industrie chimique, mais aussi pharmaceutique, agro-alimentaire, métallurgique ou encore pour la cimenterie.
Dr. Anne-Florence TRAN-VANAnne-Florence Tran-Van est diplômée en chimie de l’école Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Elle a ensuite complété son cursus avec un Master en Sciences Forensiques de l’Université de Lausanne. En rejoignant TÜV SÜD Process Safety après sa thèse en chimie organique à l’Université de Bâle, elle s’est spécialisée dans le domaine de la sécurité thermique des procédés, du dimensionnement d’évents et de l’analyse de risques.
