Musical Notes The readings for the 31st Sunday in Ordinary Time encourage us to love God and love our neighbors through God’s grace. We open the service with the hymn “O Breathe on Me, O Breath of God” (# 902), prayerfully asking God to fill us with love that we can return both to God and to our neighbor. The Psalm that follows acknowledges, “I love you, Lord, my strength” (# 1183). The preparation hymn is “Where Charity and Love Prevail” (#706). The Communion hymn, (#919) “I Come with Joy,” recalls that through Jesus’s priesthood, we are brought into communion with God, who is Love, and that the Eucharist strengthens us to share God’s love with others. Joyfully we close the service with praise and love toward God through verses 1 & 3 of hymn #598 “O God Beyond All Praising.”

Types of Gifts at Our Parish Like every family, our parish works and plans for both immediate and long-term stability. We create a budget each year based on what we know from the previous year and anticipate for the upcoming year, and we save for any unexpected future expenses.
Donating to our parish through the weekly collection helps pay for our general operating expenses each month. Donating through a trust fund, gift of stock, IRA Charitable Rollover, donor-advised fund, or gift of real estate helps ensure the long-term stability of our parish.
Please prayerfully consider whether God is calling you to make one of these gifts. Thank you for any gift you make!

Parish Hall Available as Cry Room The Parish Hall was recently rearranged to better accommodate parents who need a Cry Room for their children. Please feel free to use the Parish Hall as needed during Mass. A projector and big screen allow you to continue viewing the Mass while in the Parish Hall.

JCCW Holiday Bazaar - November 17 JCCW's Holiday Bazaar will be held on Saturday, November 17. This is our only fundraiser for the year, and we need your help to make it a success. The money raised at the Holiday Bazaar allows JCCW to assist with needs in our parish and to make donations to worthy causes both locally and around the world. We are seeking donations for the Silent Auction,
including new retail items, services offered, gift certificates, antiques, jewelry, and home-goods in pristine condition. If you have questions about a potential donation, contact Lynne at [email protected]. You can drop off donations at the church during office hours. The Silent Auction committee gets very busy as the Bazaar approaches, so please get your donation to us by November 12.
We will be taking pre-orders soon for Christmas wreaths and garlands. They are great for decorating your home or business, and they make wonderful gifts for your friends, neighbors, and relatives. Contact Ginny Mahood at 733-9030 for more information.
We are also looking for donations of art and craft items for our Craft Sale table. When you are "crafting," please consider making an extra for JCCW. You can drop off donations at the church during office hours.
We have a limited number of booth spaces available for artisans. If you are interested in selling items at the Holiday Bazaar, call Sandy at 307-690-3481, or email [email protected] for details.

Christmas Greens Sales The JCCW will be taking orders for Christmas Greens after Mass this weekend. Items include fresh, real evergreen wreaths, centerpieces, and garlands. These items will be delivered at the Bazaar on November 17. Proceeds will benefit the general fund of the JCCW, which supports overall parish outreach including funeral dinners, special events, flowers for the sanctuary, and coffee and donuts. It's not too early to plan for Christmas; greens make great gifts! Please note that our timeframe for ordering is earlier this year due to the supplier's deadlines, so get your order in early! Spiritual Care (Chaplain) Volunteers Needed at Hospital We'd like to get a few more Catholics on our team. We offer compassionate and nurturing care to the patients, residents, families, as well as staff of St. John's Medical Center while honoring ethnic, cultural, religious, and lifestyle diversity. We make ourselves available to listen, understand, encourage, and support. When you prayerfully consider this call, we ask that you understand that there is a commitment to serving patients, families, and fellow Spiritual Care Volunteers. Training of new volunteers is set for Tuesday or Wednesday evenings, Nov. 13 or 14 from 5:00 to 7:30pm. Attend either session.
