AMEN Take a look around the walls of your church. Even if it’s only a year or two old, the word “Amen” has resounded off those walls countless times at the conclusion of the Eucharistic Prayer and as the faithful have come forward to receive the Body and Blood of Christ. Today’s feast is about those “Amens” offered in faith, offered in times of trouble or doubt, spoken in joy, spoken mindlessly, but all given to God in a multitude of ways. It is our very lives that lie behind our “Amens” and are touched by the presence of Christ, the presence we celebrate today. More importantly, we celebrate the love of Christ for us shown in the sacrifice on Calvary and that he continues to give to us in every celebration of the Eucharist. What can we do but rejoice in that great love, and then go out into the world and live that love in sacrificing for others?

Dear Parishioners, During the Archdiocesan Audit this year, it came to our attention that you were not given an Annual Financial Report for 2015-16. Now that we have had time to review all the numbers, we offer you this report for your review. Thank you for your patience during this time of transition. I am grateful to Maria Boling, our new Bookkeeper, and our parish finance council for their assistance. This report follows the same format you are accustomed to seeing. Please be assured that you will receive future Annual Reports in a more timely fashion. Thank you for your support. As you review the report, please keep in mind that whatever you cando to increase your support, to meet the needs at the Church of Annunciation, would be appreciated. Sincerely, Fr. Vincent Gluc, OFM. Conv. Administrator Church of the Annunciation
