The iJet Technologies Vision
iJet Technologies transforms legacy aviation business processes from an inflexible, hardware-centric,
avionics-based architecture to a flexible, modular, open software and analytics infrastructure.
iJet Technologies At a Glance
With the Airline Connectivity Market growing at double-digit rates, there remains a capability gap
between Airline’s onboard and ground data management systems in terms of realizing the operational
benefit that IP connectivity brings. iJet fills that gap, serving as cross-functional data management and
analytics platform for the entire corporation.
How It Works iJet Technologies integrates aircraft operational data, IP communication links and airline ground systems
into a single, extensible solution that is capable of handling large amounts of streaming data both in real
time and post flight. This integrated approach enables scalable operational applications and analytics
that provide quantifiable financial value in the air, on the ground, and across all organizational units.
The iJet solution begins with the iJet Platform which includes a software package onboard each aircraft
connected via IP links to an intelligent ground system. The airborne platform integrates aircraft and
ground data with EFB and Cabin devices while applying business logic and analytics to airborne data in
real time. The ground system aggregates aircraft data, connects to ground based applications and
analytics, integrates to corporate back end systems and moves data up to the aircraft using similar
business logic.
The airborne platform is designed to run on a variety of different server hardware and to access any
available IP communication link installed on the aircraft. The ground system can be located in any
virtualized or cloud environment and uses open, modular computing resources and integration patterns
that are built to scale efficiently over time. The combination of a “run anywhere” approach to airborne
hardware, and the use of modern ground based technology allow airlines to monitor and minimize
costs, isolate downstream business processes from hardware dependencies and to ensure future
operational flexibility.

With the iJet solution in place, applications, reporting tools and analytics can be optimally deployed in
the air or on the ground to break down organizational barriers, effectively bridging the aircraft
integration across all of the airlines organizational units.
iJet Technologies Product Highlights
Acquires, transforms and integrates aircraft data easily and cost effectively to improve business
processes across all airline organizational units
Isolates downstream airline business processes from upstream changes in aircraft and
communications technology to reduce costs and minimize vendor dependencies
Uses standard technology and application programming interfaces (API’s) to allow aircraft data
to be utilized in information systems across multiple organizational units
o Examples include:
 Predictive aircraft systems analytics
Provision of aircraft data into larger corporate “Big Data” efforts
Real time and historical data for regulatory compliance, tax and emissions
reporting
 Maintenance alerting & fault forwarding
Data integration to EFB, Cabin and ground based applications
 Intelligent Black Box streaming
Gives airlines the flexibility to continually update systems, applications and controls without
recertification or hardware replacement
