The History of Bangar Central School New Site “Light is the task when many share the toil” This is exactly the very reason why Bangar Central School New Site came into being. When the whole Gabaldon Site including the buildings formerly occupied by the elementary learners was generously donated to the Doña Francisca Lacsamana de Ortega Memorial National High school by the Municipal council during the reign of the late ex-mayor Avelino Pascua, centralians became squatters to the place they occupied for a long time. Bangar Central School New Site was conceived when the request for the demolition of the buildings was approved. This time, there was no recourse to the elementary learners but to move out from the site. It is interesting to note that at this point in time, the school received an overwhelming support from the officers and members of the PTCA. They looked for a new site that could house the Grades V and VI learners. The search had finally come to an end when the lot of the Lopez family with a total land area of 525 sq. km. situated at Central East no. 2 was for sale. This parcel of land was bought and acquired by the school. There lies now the first four classrooms named as DECS Building. The sudden expansion of the school site came in 2001 when Philip Morris Philippines Inc. in partnership with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (BBSP) whose corporate objective is to help provide better educational opportunities and create a brighter future for the Filipino youth donated a three-room building. Since the initial site could not accommodate the three rooms, the PTCA officers and members have to move heaven and earth just to avail with the good opportunity. Luckily, with the guidance of the Lord, the PTCA bought the adjacent lot which was owned by the Aruejo family. The acquisition of the second lot made it possible for the three rooms of the Philip Morris Building and the additional two classroom DECS Building stand. With the construction of these nine classrooms, Bangar Central School- New Site was completed and was ready to house the Grades V and VI learners. When Sy 2001- 2002 started the learners from the Gabaldon Site transferred to the new site. On August 24, 2001 the jurisdiction of the three room Philip Morris Building and the six-classroom DECS Building was officially turned over to Bangar Central School . The learners and the PTCA rejoiced triumphantly for they have now a school of their own. The continuous expansion and improvement of the site are a concerted effort of the learners, the present administration of the National Provincial and Municipal government, the balik-bayans and benevolent donors, the PTA and the founder, Ms. Gracia C. Martinez , who displayed priceless love and concern to the school. Long Live Bangar Central School (New Site) for it has been the symbol of faith, love , unity and cooperation.

The History of Bangar Central School New Site

“Light is the task when many share the toil”

This is exactly the very reason why Bangar Central School New Site came into being.

When the whole Gabaldon Site including the buildings formerly occupied by the

elementary learners was generously donated to the Doña Francisca Lacsamana de Ortega

Memorial National High school by the Municipal council during the reign of the late ex-mayor

Avelino Pascua, centralians became squatters to the place they occupied for a long time.

Bangar Central School New Site was conceived when the request for the demolition of

the buildings was approved. This time, there was no recourse to the elementary learners but

to move out from the site. It is interesting to note that at this point in time, the school

received an overwhelming support from the officers and members of the PTCA. They looked

for a new site that could house the Grades V and VI learners. The search had finally come to an

end when the lot of the Lopez family with a total land area of 525 sq. km. situated at Central

East no. 2 was for sale. This parcel of land was bought and acquired by the school. There lies

now the first four classrooms named as DECS Building.

The sudden expansion of the school site came in 2001 when Philip Morris Philippines

Inc. in partnership with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (BBSP) whose corporate

objective is to help provide better educational opportunities and create a brighter future for

the Filipino youth donated a three-room building. Since the initial site could not accommodate

the three rooms, the PTCA officers and members have to move heaven and earth just to avail

with the good opportunity. Luckily, with the guidance of the Lord, the PTCA bought the

adjacent lot which was owned by the Aruejo family. The acquisition of the second lot made it

possible for the three rooms of the Philip Morris Building and the additional two classroom

DECS Building stand. With the construction of these nine classrooms, Bangar Central School-

New Site was completed and was ready to house the Grades V and VI learners. When Sy 2001-

2002 started the learners from the Gabaldon Site transferred to the new site.

On August 24, 2001 the jurisdiction of the three – room Philip Morris Building and the

six-classroom DECS Building was officially turned –over to Bangar Central School . The learners

and the PTCA rejoiced triumphantly for they have now a school of their own.

The continuous expansion and improvement of the site are a concerted effort of the

learners, the present administration of the National Provincial and Municipal government, the

balik-bayans and benevolent donors, the PTA and the founder, Ms. Gracia C. Martinez , who

displayed priceless love and concern to the school.

Long Live Bangar Central School (New Site) for it has been the symbol of faith, love ,

unity and cooperation.
