From the Pastor:
My dear friends in Christ,
The Parable of the Good Shepherd is one of the most well known parables. The message of this parable is clear and obvious: regardless of what culture or religion we are from, we should be willing to help people in need, even if they are different from us. Some say this parable is the most moving parable in Scripture. It cuts to the roots of the world’s wayward prejudices. In Jesus’ time, the Jews and Samaritans despised each other. The Jews were more worried about observing the law than helping the half-beaten man. Only the Samaritan stopped to help. How do we help others? Do I love the Lord with all my heart? Do I help my neighbor?
Speaking of helping, we are in need of volunteer disciples for cleaning the Church. Every Tuesday morning following the 8:00 AM daily Mass and Rosary, we come together to do light cleaning (vacuum, dust, straighten up) in the Church. It usually takes about an hour. If you can give some time, it would be most appreciated.
If you would like to be a part of the summer choir, please join us on July 28th at the 9:00 AM Mass. This is a great opportunity to see what the choir is like. We would love to hear your voice!
Annual Catholic Appeal Update: We have currently raised $26,837.25 toward our Parish goal of $55,000. At this stage, it doesn’t look like Corpus Christi will make its goal. May I ask that you please help me get close to the goal with whatever you can send in for the appeal? Pledge cards are available in the Sacristy. Thank you.
May God bless you all!
Father John
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION Regarding July and August 2019
We will not be having Eucharistic Adoration of The Most Blessed Sacrament on the First Fridays of July and August, 2019. We encourage you, instead, to visit our Cohort, Resurrection Parish, Holy Name Church on Conrow Road in Delran, NJ. Resurrection Parish offers Perpetual Adoration throughout the year and your presence would be most welcomed at any time of the day or night to visit Jesus in The Most Blessed Sacrament. Our Monthly Eucharistic Adoration will resume here in Corpus Christi on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 10:00 AM (this immediately follows the school Mass at 9:00 AM). This is one of the collaborative areas where we, as a cohort, can share and enrich our faith-life. Thank you for your understanding and God bless.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION “Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them;
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” To coincide with the new Sunday Mass schedule, Religious Education classes will now be held on Sundays, 9:30 to 10:45 AM, beginning in the Fall for children in grades K thru 8. Information will soon be forthcoming regarding the Registration Process for the 2019-2020 school year, as parents must re-register their children each year. Please keep your eye on the bulletin for details. Thank you.

BURLINGTON COUNTY DIOCESAN RESPECT LIFE NEWS
The NJ Assembly has passed healthcare bill (A5508/S3804) which is now in the Senate and would have grave impact on religious liberty if enacted. This law would expand insurance coverage for abortion inducing drugs and eliminate the religious employers exemption contained in NJ public law. By removing the religious employers exemption, Catholic parishes, schools and other religious institutions would be forced to provide insurance coverage for abortion inducing drugs. As Catholic citizens we cannot permit this to happen. Please go to the NJ Catholic Bishops site at www.njcatholic.org Open website and click TAKE ACTION NOW. Click ASK THE LEGISLATORS TO PROTECT EMPLOYERS EXEMPTION. Fill out info and click SEND. Legislators in our area are: Assemblywoman Carol Murphy [email protected] Assemblyman Herb Conaway, [email protected] Senator Troy Singleton, [email protected]
POPE JOHN PAUL II REGIONAL SCHOOL General Mills Box Tops
Are you in the habit of throwing dimes away? No. Neither are we. Please clip the box tops from General Mills products and return the box tops to the box on the shelf at the parking lot entrance to the school. These dimes add up and help our children continue their Catholic School education here at PJPII R.S. Every little dime is appreciated. For a full list of eligible items, please go to www.boxtops4education.com Thank you.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION INVITATION! Do you have a friend, neighbor, or family member whose children are not receiving the religious formation that is vital to their lives? If so, please invite them to register their children in our Religious Education Program. Sometimes all it takes is a friendly invitation that brings a family back to Church!
SUMMER CHOIR This year our Summer Choir begins July 28, 2019 at the 9:00 AM Mass. If you want to be a part of this choir just come to the choir loft at 8:30 AM. We will warm up and prepare for Mass at this time. Everyone is invited. If you have never been a part of the music ministry at Corpus Christi, come and see if you like it. If you are already in one of the choirs, come, sing to the Lord and see old friends, and make new ones! See you in Church.
“Break into Song, Sing Praise!”
RCIA Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
This program is a process of reflection, prayer, instruction, discernment, and formation for adults and older children seeking to become Catholic. This process is the inspiring model used by the early Christians to bring others into the Church.
Our focus is to nurture conversion in the hearts and lives of all who enter into the program. Using prayer, catechesis and Scripture study, we will walk with you on your journey of faith. With the community, you will embrace Christ through the Sacramental life of the Church
Any Catholic in need of completing their Sacraments may also enter the RCIA.
For info, please contact the Rectory, 609.877.5322.
