We thank you for your presence and condolences. Paul John Engel, 49, passed away, surrounded by his family after a long illness, on Monday, August 16, 2021, in Sturgis, SD. He was born on March 26, 1972, to Patricia and Paul Engel in Sturgis, SD. Paul enjoyed spending time with family and friends, always brightening up every room he entered. He loved to do anything outdoors to include: fishing, hunting, barbequing, and camping. Paul was always looking to get into mischief, whether to give himself a laugh or others. A life well lived is a precious gift, of hope and strength and grace, from someone who has made our world a brighter, better place. It’s filled with moments, Sweet and sad with smiles And sometimes tears With friendships formed And good times shared, And laughter throughout the years. A life well lived is a legacy, Of joy and pride and pleasure A living, lasting memory Our grateful hearts will treasure.
