“The Shingo Bronze Medallion confirms the world-class status of our company, and we are delighted to be the first med-tech company in Europe to receive this best-in-class designation.”Noel Hennessy, Continuous Improvement Director, Lake Region Medical
The Shingo Prize Model provides companies with
a blueprint to achieve operational excellence and
acts as a catalyst to drive lean transformation. By
creating a solid foundation for deep and sustainable
cultural change the Shingo Model allows
business leaders to benchmark and assess their
organisations journey towards world class practices
and standards.
Emanating from the principles of Dr Shigeo Shingo
– whose approach to lean management formed
the nucleus of the Toyota Production System – the
Shingo Model has been evolved by the world’s
leading voices on manufacturing practices over a
two decade period to become the business model
of choice for the global economy.
Since 1988, The Shingo Prize has educated,
supported, assessed and recognised operational
excellence in outstanding companies across the
globe.
The Manufacturing Institute is the UK’s only official
administer of The Shingo Prize.

About The Enhanced Workshop
Following feedback from previous Shingo Workshop delegates this extended 3 day training has been developed to provide a deeper, more immersive experience that will foster a high-level of understanding about The Shingo Model.
Over the course of the workshop you will see, through close analysis, how The Shingo Model’s key principles can be applied to your organisation to drive business transformation and world-class results.
The three days will include:
· The importance of a principle-led culture and thinking systemically
· How to align and embed behaviour driven principles both across and through your organisation
· The Shingo Model and how this can be applied to your business
· Advanced tutorials on how the “go-look- see” visits can be used to understand the behaviour and culture of an organisation
· 3 x half-day, in-depth and structured “go-look-see” visits across a Shingo medallion winning site
· Enhanced teaching time and one-to-one contacts with two certified Shingo Consultants
· The opportunity to see, look, learn and network with the Lake Region Shingo team who successfully challenged for the Shingo Prize in June 2012.
* A key take away from the Extended Workshop will be a newly-developed assessment matrix that allows immediate application of learning in your organisation
