    The silo plants have a capacity as follows:

    San El Haggar 60.000tonsEl Menia 60.000tons

    Kafr El Dawar 90.000tons

    El Khalka 90.000tons

    According to the Tender Book all of the silo-plants should be two

    different solution which are:flat bottom solution

    concrete hopper bottom solution.

    The operation of the silo plant will done by a controlling computer

    system, where the different operations are preliminary injected to the computer system (PLC) but there is room for the operator to

    control the plant manually by the key board.

    To be on the safe side there is a possibility, to operate all silo plants

    with push buttons too. To make easier the operation the Masters

    Control Panel located in the control room will have a surface with the flow diagram which is signalling the equipment in operation

    with lamps.

    The controlling PC can absorb all data from the Road weighbridge,

    the Continuous weigher and the Temperature monitoring.

    The controlling PC can be connected to the bookkeeping of the

    plant, to know actually the stock, the inflow and outflow

    continuously.

    The following operations are possible:

    Receiving operation

    The incoming truck will be measured at gate by the weighbridge. The driver will get a ticket which contains the total weight of the

    truck, the date with hour and minutes, the plate number.

    After the weighing the driver will be took place by the receiving

    hopper. He open the truck and the load of the truck will be poured

    to the receiving pit. The grain will fill the receiving pit.

    The chain conveyor placed in the bottom of the receiving hopper,

    collect the grain and through a rotary permanent magnet and a cross conveyor it will be conveyed to one of the bucket elevators.

    The bucket elevators will lift the grain and through a pendulair

    distributor the grain will be chuted to the charging chain conveyors placed on the top of the silo bins and it will be conveyed to the

    chosen silo bin.

    If needed weight measuring for the incoming grain from the bucket

    elevator the grain will be chuted to the continuous weigher. From

    here the grain will go by gravity to an other bucket elevator which elevated the grain and the process can start again to the filling the

    silo or using the cleaner.

    In case of needed cleaning for the incoming grain from the bucket

    elevator the grain will be chuted through a cascade magnet to the

    Cleaners. From the Cleaners the grain will go by gravity to an other Bucket elevator which lift the grain again and repeating the process

    what we have mentioned.

    For the operator it is needed to give the starting point (receiving

    pit), the processes (cleaning and/or weighing) and the finishing point (number of the storing bin). When he has given this data and

    give the order for the start, the computer make everything starting

    the machines in sequences, opening the valves, etc. and the operation will go smoothly.

    The truck when leave the site will be measured again in the weighbridge and get a ticket with the tara weight, the brut weight,

    the date and the plate number.

    Normally this ticket will be the main document for the invoicing and

    the stock management.

    Preserving the grain

    To preserve the grain in the plant there are two possibilities.

    1. Aeration the bin

    2. Turn around the grain

    When the temperature in the bin (there are 63 sensing points

    inside of the storing bin) reach a preliminary adjusted temperature, the temperature monitoring system will give a signal (acoustic and

    light) about the havarie.

    The operator can choose which system he wants to use.

    He can start the fan of the bin with the havarie and the fan will

    push fresh (cooler) air to the bin and the grain will be cooled.If the outside temperature too high or the aeration process is not

    have an acceptable result the operator can start turning the grain.

    In this case the operator give the computer the starting point (bin

    with high temperature) and the finishing point (other silo bin) and the computer will do everything to convey the grain.

    The PC. will start the discharging chain conveyor under the high

    temperature bin, start one of the Bucket elevators, start the charging conveyor, open the valves and the process are running.

    Delivering the grain

    The operator will appoint the starting point (the bin which will be

    the source for the delivering) the process (weighing) and the

    finishing point (one of the transit bins)- The computer will start the machines, the discharging conveyor, the bucket elevator, the

    continuous weigher, the charging conveyor for transit bin. Open the

    valves and the process will start immediately.

    In case of the level indicators show empty bin by the flat bottom

    solution the sweeper should start (it will go only rmanual controlling) and the grain should start to flow again. The process

    will stop again if the level indicator will show again empty status.

    The weigher can be adjusted that give a signal and stop the process when the weighted grain reach the given level. (one truck load of

    grain)

    The empty truck at the gate will be measured and weight the tara and after that the truck will place under the chosen transit bins.

    The operator will open the valve under the transit bin and the grain

    will be poured to the truck.The length of the flexible telescopic discharge tube will be operated

    by the driver to make minimum the dust of the pouring grains.

    When the truck is full the operator will stop the grain flow, the

    driver lift up the telescopic tube and leave the site. Going out the

    truck will be measured and the driver get the ticket with the tara weight, the full weight of truck, the date, the plate number.

    Normally this ticket is the document fro the grain delivery.

    Impurities and Dust controlling system

    The incoming grain contains impurities and dust.

    Our system contains the following sections for controlling these dust and impurities in the plant:

    - Road hopper.

    The incoming grain contains some percentage of dust. When the receiving pit has charged by the grain from truck some part of

    these dust going into the air. The surface of the hopper is open only

    the area where grain is flowing down. A self closing system prevent the dust coming out from the pit.

    We use a suction system under this self closing system.

    The dust will be collected by a filter system of hoses. From the hoses the dust by a counter-current air blow fallen and a screw

    under the hoses out charging. The dust from here go back to the

    cross conveyor.

    - Cleaning system

    The grain arriving to the cleaner going through an "air curtain" which collect out the dusted air. The dusted air cleaned by a filter

    on the same way as we explained by the road hopper system. From

    the filter the dust will be chuted to the dust bin.In the cleaner the over and under sized impurities will be take out.

    These impurities will be chuted by gravity to the impurities bin.

    - Central dust system

    All equipment which pouring the grain (it means dust is available)

    is connected to the central dedusting system. The elevators chain conveyors, weigher are connected to the central deducting system.

    The dusted air will be sucking to the central dedusting system

    which working principle is the same as the road hopper dedusting filter.

    The chain conveyors will be connected to each other, which means

    they are the same airspace and enough to connect the first one.

    Controlling system

    The control computer can absorb the data of the in and outflow of

    the weighbridge and can convey the data for invoicing if the Client wants to get this kind of activities from our side.

    All starting process is starting with an acoustic signal to give warning everybody about the starting of the process.

    The flow diagram of the silo-plant can be seen at the monitor built-in the control board.

    The buttons indicated at the monitor by the keyboard, mouse

    controls the processes. The coloring of the diagram indicates the working process. The working machine or tube where the grain is

    flow becomes green. The levels are yellow etc. All of the break

    down or havarie will give a pulsing red light.

    All process can be starting or stopping with the keyboard and the

    mouse.In case of needed all equipment and motors can be controlled

    manually from the Control board.

    We put here a photo from a working plant which is similar as

    technological process but contains less bin and conveying machine.

    We put it here to see the characteristics of the solution what we are offering.

    According to the tender prescriptions we will place a flow diagram of a built in monitor and light and start-stop buttons on the front

    panel of the Control board.

    We have systems which are working more than twenty years

    without any failure.

    ENVIROMENTAL IMPACT

    During the design process of the siloplant we have taken into consideration the most modern methods to decrease or eliminate any environmental impacts.

    Pollution of environmental during operationThe siloplant is a closed system which has very limited points where the grain can contacted with the free air.These points are the follows:

    Truck pitDuring the tipping the grain sliding to the truck pit and when it contacted with any solid surface there are dust could be on the air. So, mostly eliminate the dust - we have shaped a self-closing system which prevent the dust to coming out from the hopper,- we have established a dedusting system which sucking 20.000m3 air hourly which is conduit to a filter system. The dedusted air contains maximum 10mg dust/m3 which could fulfill the most stringent pollution degree.

    Pre-cleaning machineThere is no point where the grain is contacted with the free airIt is a totally closed machine

    Filtering units for Pre-cleaning machineThe filtering unit is sucking the pre-cleaning machine in every points, and ensure that the dust which is formation during the cleaning process on the screens could go to the filtering hoses only. This system is tightly closed one.

    Filtering unit for the central handlingAll of the handling machines are connected by pipes and spouts with each other, forming totally closed system. The dust which is forming by the transmitting the grain from machine to machine is sucked by the system and convey to the filtering hoses. This system is tightly closed one.
