Did you know who should keep roads and public spaces clear of rubbish? The job is split three ways, generally Highways look after roads with a speed limit of 50mph and over, for slower roads the “Streetscene” people are responsible, and other areas are looked after by Parish Councils. Cheshire West Council runs both Highways and Streetscene. Ted Lush has condemned this multi agency system, as it fails to deliver the clean roads we are supposed to have. Apart from the local Parish Councils who do a good job, but are limited in what they can achieve.
