The corporate man
There are two kinds of “MAN” on earth - the private/individual
man and the Corporate man. Both have a legal right. The
Corporate man, like the natural individual man also has a body
(all the people involved), a soul (the management) and a spirit
(the shareholders) - and is called a collective name: a company.
In our society as structured today - the corporate man is
destroying the individual man through all the power in hand.
God's plan is that the Spiritual Corporate Man (The Body of
Christ) must regain this power through unity - and change the
world in order to recognise Him!
John 17: 20/21: I ask not only on behalf of these men, but also on
behalf of those who will believe in me through their message, so
that they may all be one. Just as you, Father, are in me and I am
in you, may they also be one in us, so that the world may believe
that you sent me.)
No individual will ever be able to deliver the world from its misery
- it is the task of the Corporate Man - the Body of Christ. This was
made possible by one man only - Jesus Christ - which is the
head of the Corporate Body (Col 1:18)!
It is God's plan that we become the “full measure of Christ” and
our challenges within and as part of this “Corporate Man” is
summarized in Ef 4:13:
• On the physical level: to come to the point of “harmony of
the faith”
• On the terrain of the soul and mind: to come to the
knowledge of the Son of God
• On Spiritual level: to maturity in Spirit
Only then will we be able to represent and be the full
measure of Christ! A measure that is defined in
Ephesians 3:18 to have:
• Breadth/Width: (platos) broad, wide spread out flat
total space in two dimensions
• Length: (maykos from megas) big, multi-plural, length
• Depth: ( bathos) profundity, extent, mystery, depth
• Heights: (hupsos) elevation, altitude, dignity - to be
exalted
We don't know what we not know! We are corporately
together one Body - one expression of dignity, exalted and
high above the earthly reality. We are seated in the
Corporate Body in Christ part of a mystery with depth,
being part of something beyond our understanding of
breadth and length!
Jesus Christ is the head of the Body, and we are the individual
“members” - and although we are many, we are one Body
(Christ) - and every one member one of another (Rom 12:5).
What a mystery to understand in the market place, in the reality
of our social settings, in the economy, in the politics and in the
world as we know it today. We are Christ to the world - and
have the corporate power to change the world - if we can adhere
to the conditions above - be one in faith, have knowledge about
the Son of God, and be mature in spirit!
Man Christus in ons midde.
regte siels dimensie teiken!
Instead of being one in faith - we are seeking unity through
financial agreements and contracts, instead of having
knowledge about the Son of God - we have knowledge off all
kinds and experience through which we establish an alternative
power to our own benefits and instead of being mature in spirit -
we keep ourselves busy with religious activities. The answer is
therefore in the triple S approach: Not in prosperity but in
Significance, not in power but in Service, not in religion, but in
Spirituality.
The question is clear - do we want to be part of the corporate
man as presented in the society today to us, or do we want to be
part of the Corporate Christ as presented to us through the
Word and Spirit?
But in order to respond on this question on practical level we
must understand that the richest of Christ (the Corporate Man)
that lives through us from within, depends on our individual
ability to die to the natural own agenda in the corporate
framework (Gal 2:20)! I have to die (Zao = spiritually) and Christ
must live in me (zao spiritual life). What I now live in the flesh
must be based on faith in the (love of the) Son of God and not
faith in my own abilities!
Then we will come to the understanding that we are able to do
“all things” as part of this powerful Corporate Christ in the world
as He will give us strength and he will be the power behind our
actions (endunamoo empower).
The role of the Word and Spirit
In order for us to become whole in the Spirit as part of “Christ”
we must have a Gentle spirit to welcome the Word to be planted
in our souls (Jas 1:21). If we make a decision to “abide in Christ”
and that His Word “Abide in us - we can ask for anything - and it
will be given unto us (Joh 15:7: Here abide is the Greek word
meno - to stay in a given place, state, relation or expectancy…)
And then we will find ourselves in a position that the Spirit will
guide us into all true knowledge and he will make clear to us the
things to come (Joh 16:13).
The Corporate Man Christ will have no fear in the financial world
He will know what's coming. He will not be negative and
overwhelmed by all the bad news and negative information - he
will have access to all true knowledge!! It became more and
more attractive to partake in this Body than the alternative
rendered to us in the world! I am becoming more and more
excited about the reality of this Corporate Man and more and
more convinced that we are heading in a future where we will
see the glory of God manifesting over the earth - that the Lord
will shine on us and His glory been seen among us (Isa 60:2).
God's resting place
There is a secret hidden in the prophetic words of Jes 66:1 the
profit declares that God's throne in in heaven, but the earth the
place He rest His feet. And then He describes this resting place
as a MAN a man with the following three attributes (Jes 66:2):
• poor (awnee - humble in mind)
• fearing my word (kwawrade fearful, afraid and trembling)
• broken in spirit (nawkeh smitten, contrite, lame in the
own)
Is this not the same that was defined for the Corporate Man
Christ and the requirement to partake? The same as was
defined in Ef 4:13 as God's plan for us to become the “full
measure of Christ:
• To be “poor in ourselves” and humble in our attitude will
enable us to comein the physical dimension to the point of
“harmony of the faith”.
• The have respect and “fear” the Word will enable us to in
the soul dimension to come to the knowledge of the Son
of God.
• To be “broken in spirit” in the Spiritual dimension will
enable us to come to maturity in Spirit.
This is why Stephanus recall this scripture when He was taken
to the Sanhedrin by the people and the rulers and scribes. He
knew prophetically - the time is here - Christ is in our midst - God
is finding a resting place for His feet! But when he listed the
requirement not been met by the Jews, they attack him, drive
him out of town and stoned him to death! Are we still stoning the
voice in our midst that we have to humble ourselves and give
room to the Corporate Man Christ to raise in our midst to be the
resting place of the Father's feet?
IT is our dream to secure the hearts of our people. It is the
hearts of our people that is the final resting place of the
Kingdom (taken from Jan Myburgh at the TADT board
meeting, 17/8/2012).

Paul and Christa will be the
c o o r d i n a t o r s f o r t h e
in
Moçambique. The couple has
been married for 25 years.
They have two children, Paul
Jnr., who is married to Zelda,
and a daughter, Luca.
Paul and Christa joined Youth with a Mission in 1999 for a
Discipleship Training School, and went to Angola for an
outreach in 2000. It was the beginning of a great and
adventurous journey, directed by God. On return from Angola,
they joined Mercy Ministries, based in Le Rucher, Geneva. They
co-ordinated and facilitated the Ethnic Reconciliation
Workshops in South Africa. This workshop originated from
Rwanda, where Dr Rhiannon Lloyd received it as a vision from
God to bring ethnic healing between the Hutus and Tutsis after
the genocide. This workshop had a life changing effect on Paul
and Christa's lives. They discovered the beauty in diversity of
Touching Africa Initiative
various ethnic groups and how it reflects God's attributes as a
multi faceted diamond. The process also brought healing to
them concerning Apartheid and the deep rift between black and
white. They could assist others on this road of forgiveness and
healing.
They always had the desire to work across the border of South
Africa into other African countries. They joined Jesus Alive
Ministries to manage the relief program in Moçambique,
including the food process factory and the network for the
distributing of food to 350 000 children. They were also involved
in Community Development Projects and facilitating an X-
patriot church in Vilanculos.
After numerous bouts of malaria, they decided to return to South
Africa for a period of time. Paul jnr. and Luca also had to
complete their school education. Paul did consulting for various
businesses, especially life coaching for business men during
their stay in South Africa.
Paul and Christa returned to Moçambique in 2012 and now live
in Maputo, the capital city. They have embarked on their next
journey, now involved in MDI - Moçambique Development
Initiative.

se hele bediening was.
elllendige, my gees in my binneste sommer opgehef word. Ek
Jesus se voorbeelde is waarlik navolgenswaardig en hierdie by
uitstek het my lewe al baie gered en my uit my kuil gehaal. Ek
aanraak en verander ~ joune by uitstek.

Inspirerende Gedagtes: DIE GENESENDE KRAG VAN DIEN
We are proud of the new Network Agreement and Code of Conduct for 2013 as finalised this month. This document will be
the basis of agreement for participation by all new members in 2013. The document defines the vision, mission, business
commitment, operating principles, internal agreement and reflects all network participation and arrangements.
This agreement will be discussed with all existing members - including those who are historically part of the Touching Africa
vision and initiative development. This will give an opportunity to all concerned parties to give their input, and agree on the
vision and participation in the network and activities. I will therefore be in contact with all members individually to arrange such
a work session in order to ensure maximum synergy towards our purpose and vision. Stephan Pretorius
Character Kids is a long term project of Hope Again
Foundation which began in March 2011. The project focuses
on children of Ikageng, a township near Potchefstroom. The
objective of Character Kids is to help children from the ages of
10 to 13 (grade 4 to 7), with their school work. Character
building and development play an important part in the vision of
the project.
The staff of Hope Again Foundation, volunteers from
Potchefstroom and students of the NWU present a program
once a week during the afternoon to the children. The program
will usually consist of reading or homework time. During this
time the children will read English, individually or in a group, with
the guidance of a volunteer.
The program also includes a lesson on values, for example
character, ethics etc. The lesson is presented to the whole group
in their local language, Tswana. During the afternoon there is a
break where the
children receive fruit
and a cup of juice.
After snack time there
is an opportunity for
t h e c h i l d r e n t o
improve their music-
or dancing skills.
The afternoon ends
with a lesson on
spor t and then
playing soccer and
netball.
In the second half of this year a computer skills program was
introduced for the grade sixes and sevens of the group. Once a
week they are taught for an hour on typing, using Microsoft Word
and how to do assignments on a computer.
The program is based on practical activities and fun, so as not to
replicate the school program and bore the children.
Once a year the children are also taken on a fieldtrip or outing.
In 2011 they went to the Johannesburg Zoo for a day and on
their return they had to write an article about what they had seen
and experienced at the Zoo. In 2012 the boys of the group went
camping for a night in the bush on a farm near Parys, while the
girls spent time exploring the campus and having a sleepover in
Potchefstroom.
A long term goal of Character Kids is to inspire children who
completed the program to return to the project when in high
school or even after they have finished school as volunteers, to
supervise the children in the program.

Follow up story of Kaka Masiu
Another month of personal growth and opportunities passed for
the X²O program. We have learned that the biggest growth
opportunities arise when there is a compelling event. This time
the compelling event was an opportunity to address the Board of
Trustees of the North West University Community Development
Trust. The team decided that Kaka and Totius should address
the board members.
Thiswhole event was exciting and stressful at the same time.
The day before the presentation we travelled to
Pretoria/Tshwane to prepare together with experts. We worked
and practised and talked and andand… Then the time to
present was there. When Kaka addresses the Board, she
realised that the year before, when she was a cleaner at our
University, that she also cleaned some of their offices. So she
broke the ice with that story… Everybody laughed and she was
able to present confidently about the benefits of the X²O
program.
We are serious about action learning/training and productivity in
our program. We want to impact the country and wider. We
have a dream…
and then the world
Training with Johan Cronje Kaka training for CDT Board Meeting
We have expert people who train and coach us in the right tools
and thinking, to be successful in life. As Kaka says, she was a
domestic cleaner before, now she is a cleaner of minds…
We had Mr Johan Cronje, who is an expert on teams, to assist us
in the ways of virtual teams and how they should function and
strive for the same goals and achieve it together. Our national
team was in Potchefstroom for 2 days, from 10 to 12 October.
On 1 and 2 November we had training for personal productivity.
We learned how to manage time, do personal planning, how to
use online tools and to manage smaller projects. Mr Gerrit
Cloete is an expert on productivity. It was a great experience to
work with international experts.
Thank you for the opportunity we are given to mine the gold in
our wonderful people. Do you remember the story, that when
earth was created, God said “it was good”. But when He created
man, He said: “it was very good”. So, we are working as a team
with a wonderful dream to bring all the fantastic talents, which
God planted in every individual, come alive!
Next time we will tell the story of Zwelijikile Nxamekele and
Eunice Wesinyana. Watch this space...

negatiewe simptome steeds skreeu?
Christene wêreldwyd steeds eerder Rom.3:23 aanhaal as vers
Hy was ons skuldbrief.
ten toon gestel was. Die Griekse woord, satanos, beteken
aanklaer. Kol.2:14,15.
“My volk gaan te gronde weens gebrek
Hos.4:6.
The obedience of this one man Jesus outperforms and
supersedes the effect of the disobedience of the one man Adam!
Obviously John encourages us not to hide the fact that we have
sinned if we did; denial is self deception! But instead of telling
God about our sin we must tell sin about our God! God does not
desire nor demand to hear the detailed information of my sin and
sickness; He has forgotten mankind's sin and has no desire to
be reminded of it! Sin and sickness must hear my confession of
the truth of the gospel. I died with Jesus and am now a new
creation in His resurrection and rule and reign in this life over
sins temptation and attraction. I overcome satan by the blood of
the Lamb and the word of my testimony. The understanding of
His obedience is my weapon of authority over satan's deception.
In God's light do we see the light, By His stripes we were healed.
Speak to sin, disease and sickness in the authority of the throne
room of God. We are seated together with Christ in heavenly
places. Eph.2:6, Col.3:1-3.

Introduction
Quick Acid test about the Strategy
We are moving fast towards the end of 2012. This is the time to
reflect back and ponder on what was good or bad. The most
important question to ask is where are we going and what
results we want to achieve. In essence this is strategic thinking
and it is the responsibility of the leadership in the organisation.
It is unfortunately very true that the leadership do not think about
their business from a strategic perspective often enough. Due to
the many hats that we have to wear as Shareholders, directors
and managers we tend to get bogged down in the day to day
stuff and the urgent matters that generate income are often
neglected. Is this our role? If you are working in the business
who is working on the business?
You all know the story of Alice in Wonderland, running around in
the dream world. As the mad hatter put it “if you do not know
where you are going to, then any road will take you there.”
You can do a quick test to determine if you have a team that is
pulling in the same direction and is aligned to the business
strategy. Ask your employees at all levels the following and see
evidence that this is in place:
1. Do you know what is the company vision and mission?
2. Do you know what the company or team objectives are?
3. Can I see your functional strategy document (not a “to do
list”)e.g. the HR, Finance and Operational strategy
document?
4. Do your employees have job descriptions?
5. Do you formally conduct monthly or quarterly
performance ratings and can you show the score for your
employees.
6. Do you have a balance score card for the business and is
this measured and monitored monthly.
It is no surprise that you will get answers like:
1. I do not know what the vision is (or everybody has his/her
own version of the vision)
2. We're here to make money
3. We are here to serve clients…
4. I do not have a document but I know what to do
5. I do not rate my staff , but they are all ok
6. I do not have a balance score card but the bottom line is
ok
If these are the answers you get, you have identified a gap
between what make some businesses good and others great.
Become a great business!
NOBODY REALLY KNOWS WHAT IS A STRATEGY - THE ECONOMIST

From Good to Great!
So what now?
Some characteristics of a Great business are:
1. Great businesses are vision inspired
2. Great businesses are leadership lead
3. Great businesses have a unique selling proposition
4. Great businesses embrace change
5. Great businesses are results focussed
Do you desire to become great? Ensure that you are ready for
the future. Take up your responsibility as leadership. Think
strategically, develop an appropriate strategy. The most
important aspect is to then implement the strategy.
A great strategy has many pieces but they form a coherent
whole. See below some of the pieces of the strategy. Remember
that the business is like a human body. If you do not give
attention to all of these areas and do not fully develop and
implement these pieces then the business will be like a disabled
body.
