Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (then

Tunku Abdul Rahman College ) opened its

door to students on 24 February 1969 by

establishing its pioneer school, the School of

Pre-University Studies (now Centre for Pre-

University Studies or CPUS in short). Starting

off with only the Higher School Certificate

programme (HSC), the Centre now offers

six pre-university programmes: Foundation

in Science, Foundation in Arts, Foundation

in Accounting, Foundation in Engineering,

Foundation in Business and Foundation in

Computing.

After SPM, I considered several tertiary education options before finally enrolling with TAR UC due to its reputation for providing industry-driven education.

I know that TAR UC will be a great start to a promising career in engineering for me.

TAR UC’s lecturers put in maximum effort to create an optimal learning experience and ensure we are able to perform to the best of our abilities. I’m grateful for their support and the dedication they demonstrated. My experience in Foundation would not be complete without them and my wonderful like-minded friends I’ve made along the journey!

Pursuing Foundation in Accounting at TAR UC was no doubt an invaluable and memorable experience for me. The programme equipped me with solid fundamental knowledge essential for my bachelor degree studies. I am thankful to my Foundation lecturers who gave their all when guiding us. The campus facilities and amenities also made it easy for me to focus on mystudies.

My 12 months in the Foundation in Business programme was a great experience. The learning and recreational facilities were awesome, especially the Cyber Centre and Library. Our lecturers were very professional, and were ever committed to enhancing our learning experience inside and outside the classroom.

TAR UC’s Foundation programme became a defining part of my life, especially in developing my knowledge and interest in accounting. Despite being a science student, I was able to cope thanks to the guidance of our team of dedicated lecturers.
