We en- joyed tailgate food, drinks, & great company! The game wasnt too bad either. Thank you to Barbara M. and Mike D. for helping host an excellent party. Ada, her daughter, & Paul were rooting for Kansas City Chiefs to win & by half time they were about to throw in the towel! But, what a surprise to see the Chiefs turn it all around & come out the victors: the final score was San Francisco 49ers 2031 Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs stole the show! We had an amazing, romantic, and spectacular 1950’s Valentine’s Day extravaganza here at Aravilla! The residents dressed in 1950’s attire, poodle skirts, and costumes alike. The female department heads en-joyed the day with black pants, and Pink Lady jackets from the movie, “Grease.” Staff and Residents had an amazing day and we really en-joyed the music that the “Becker Duo” provided for this event. The music was epic & we had a great time eating 1950’s Car Hop cuisine thanks to Chef Mike & his dining crew! Thank you Mary Jo, Director of Nursing, for making the delicious milk shakes & Carol C., Executive Director, who made the root beer floats! Our staff really brought a special touch. Thank you for doing what you love!

Lillian, Louanne, Gloria, & Lorraine looked adorable in their colorful poo-dle skirts, cat eyed glasses, scarves, & adorable smiles. You can see more photos at www.facebook.com/AravillaSarasota. Thank you to all of our amazing residents who are quick to help & assist in anyway they can! This community is outstanding & I am honored to be a part of it!

We Love, love on Valentine’s

We spent the day in New Orleans & enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Chef Mike! We had an amazing day of decorating, photos & enjoyed a delec-table cuisine. Gloria, Louanne, Grace, Lorraine, Lillian, & Barbara helped with the beautiful colorful centerpieces and decorations. Barbara M. and Myrtle helped with the decorations & turned our beautiful Atrium into a carnival of col-ors. We had a good time and enjoyed the Seafood Gumbo, Baked Snapper Nantua, Cajun Beef Tips, Red Beans & Rice with Tasso Ham, White Rice, Stewed Okra & Tomatoes and dessert!

We were transported to New Orleans for the day. Gilda never fails to surprise us. She wore bright colors, a purple glittery mask & showed off her feathers today! Thank you for bringing life to every event with your spirit & pizzazz, Gilda! She was born for the stage with her bright personality & her big smile! She has a strong desire to keep the energy positive and has a great attitude!

We have a few Announcements from the Executive Director, Carol Copenhaver:

Our Community is growing. Remember to be courteous & refrain from using your cell phones in the bar & restaurants during meal times. Residents deserve to have a pleasant dining experience. Please take your calls outside of the dining room. We ask that all gentlemen remove their hats during meal times in the Restaurant & Bar area. Private duty assistance is welcome but they must clear a criminal background check. Please see Carol Copenhaver, Executive Director prior to hiring anyone.
