Undergraduate Pathway:Standard: 2 semesters with 6 hours EAP classes plus advising and tutoring supportAccelerated: 1 semester with advising and tutoring support

Undergraduate Pathway: • 2.5 GPA • Minimum C grades in all classes; no U, W, or I grades • SAT/ACT on record but no minimum score required

Graduate Pathway: Some variety in some departments but in general: • 3.25 GPA • At least one A in 3 credit course; no grade lower than B; no U, W, or I grades• GRE/GMAT requirements vary by program:

• GRE score on record but no minimum score (e.g. Architecture, Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology, and Geology)

• GRE/GMAT minimum score requirement (e.g. Biology, Finance, Marketing, Chemical Engineering)

• No GRE/GMAT requirement (e.g. Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Music)

Instructors: • MA minimum qualification• TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) members • Conference attendance and presentations

For help with:• Study skills; Course registration; Adjustment issues; Advocacy in

Outreach to students:• Start of semester: group advising, individual appointments • Mid-semester: input from faculty; support for at-risk students• End of semester: help with progression, extensions, transfer• Constant contact as needed

Tutors:• Most are USF graduate students – both Masters and Ph.D.• All have high level of skill and experience in areas tutored• All are NCLCA (National College Learning Center Association) trained & CRLA certified

Resident Assistant (RA)

Every floor has an RA. They are student advisors who are in charge of each student’s floor.

Students should look for emails and announcements from their RA in their respective halls.

There are mandatory meetings held by your students’ RAs that they must attend!

Let’s Talk Program

A online drop-in service that offers informal, confidential consultation with a University of South Florida Counseling Center counselor.

FERPA: Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act

FERPA EXPLAINED• A Federal law that protects the privacy of student education

records and gives them the right to refuse to permit USF (and other educational institutions) from releasing or disclosing any information about them.
