The first shot cuts between the radio DJ and the dash board of the car (twice). Afterwards the camera is picked up and turned around to become a mid-shot of Alex Turner and Matt Helders in a car. It then cuts back to the DJ and the song begins. It cuts back to the repeated mid-shot to show them drumming (narrative).

As the camera shot is changing because it is hand held it is technically one continuous shot from different angles. Alex moves it from a two/mid shot to an over the shoulder shot and then to a side shot so that it is focused on his face, that’s the second time he has done that. He then moves it so that it’s of side shot of him and Matt again.

He then moves the camera so that it’s at a higher angle and slightly above him as a close up. He turns it round and in the back of the van is a shot of Nick O’Mally with two girls. It’s a mid shot that’s mostly lit by the lights on the van. Alex pans the camera back around to Matt as he sings. This close up has been edited as you can see the image flicker to make it look more ‘hand-held’. It cut to what looks like the same shot that Nick was in but a different narrative.

It’s changed because it went from a decent lit scene to a long shot of Alex just sitting in the back of the van. Next you can tell from the use of the camera that he has gone up through the sun roof to show an establishing shot of a building/warehouse. Alex performs air guitar in an ariel/birds-eye-view shot to ‘distract the audience’ watching so that when the camera it taken back down into the car they are surprised by the change of person in the drivers seat. She is in a mid shot like Matt was.
