Never, ever, ever put word-for-word whatyou are saying, instead use strong visuals tohelp add to your story and not give it away

ContrastText and images that are all the same sizeand style is extremely boring and notcommunicative. Add some contrast to makeit interesting.

RepetitionRepeat colors, fonts and images throughoutyour presentation for a cohesive feel(remember color mix?). Each new topicslide should have related styles so that youraudience knows you are moving onto a newpoint.

AlignmentText and images on each slide should bevisually connected. Nothing should be outof place.

    ProximityRelated elements should be groupedtogether

3 months ago I gave a 90 min talk in Australia to somevery nice people in the tourism industry.

One speaker told me it was crazy to upload my entireslides to SlideShare because surely I was going to getripped o ff .

There were only 100 people in the room, but todaymore than 4800 people have seen that samepresentation online.

I got lots of feedback from people all around the worldwho said they got lots out of it, which made me feel kindawarm inside, and helped me with content ideas for thenext presentations.

But the best was just last week I gotpaid again to give an updated versionof the same talk half way around theworld in Denmark (which is beautifulby the way).
