A Snapshot of States’ DMC-Reduction Activities

√ 33 states have designated state-level DMC Coordinators. They are: AK, CA, CO, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, HI, ID, IA, MA, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NE, NJ, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, VT, VA, WA, & WI. (2 less than FY 2006 -- 5 vacancies due to staff turnover. The vacancies are in AR, IL, IN, KY, & MD.)

√ 37 states have DMC Subcommittees under their State Advisory Groups. They are: AK, AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KY, LA, MA, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NE, NH, NM, NY, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, VA, WV, &WI.

√ 39 states have data for 6 or more out of 9 contact points in their juvenile justice systems.

They are: AL, AK, AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, HI, IN, IA, KY, LA, ME, MD, MO, MT, NE, NV, NJ, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, & WI.
