See that tree there, thats a cracking photograph that, see this? See this tree? Let meshow you something, I dont even know i the stump will be here, but that ones justgone down that has, but, just here (5) no the entire stumps gone. Well thats a good one

that, cause just there, somewhere was a tree, the stump and everythings gone, the treeblew over and I remember him buying it or fifeen quid, selling logs or change whilewe cut it up every Sunday with a chainsaw, so its quite unny that another ones blowndown. I dont know what to call him really, a Jack the Lad is what he is, thats what he was,i he saw something laying by the side o the road, i it was owned, he would take it,which included compressors, o temporary traffic lights, hed pinch carrots around thecorner and just get caught, in a field, with his mate Mad Dog

I dont remember if it was you that told me, but did he go to prison?

Yeah, but that was when we lived in Northwich because, when we lived up here, erm,the house on Middlewich Road, he had it given to him as well, it was 149 MiddlewichRoad but then they changed the numbering and it was 171, so what we did, we movedback out o that council house, and that place on Middlewich Road was two flats, andone o the flats, the girl that was living in the flat wasnt paying rent, so I believe whathe did was he went down there, put all the stuff in bin liners, stuck it out the ront andchanged the locks. I think he got locked up or that, but I dont know whether youdget locked up or that, but, thats what the story was, he got locked up or that, it couldhave been something else. But he was in Walton Prison [Liverpool], and then he gotmoved to Risley [Warrington] and he did Strangeways [Manchester] as well, but he

was only doing like a six month term, but they moved him around, so it was like Wal-ton, then Risley, then Strangeways, then this that and the other, you know, yeah, butthat was the reason I was told, but I dont know whether you get locked up or chang-ing locks on your own property and kicking someone out you know.

Sometimes what hed do, I was only like, 17, sometimes hed ring up and hed be with acouple o his mates, and it was only like, a truck cab, Land Rover, that was a pickup at

the back with a canvas roo on it, couldnt sit in the back, but theyd all squash in alongthe back seat, you know our guys, and then wed go off to Moss Side in Manchester,and what theyd do is theyd bet on me playing pool, cause I was quite good, so theydall be pissed, betting on me playing pool. So, thats what theyd do, then I rememberone night one o them got stabbed, so (3) we never went again.

So theres, theres these cellars ull o blackpeople, and they had like a bar but it was all out o bottles and all that and cans, youknow, and then there was like a craps table, dice, and then there was erm, erm, erm,pool tables there was about three pool tables, all playing pool playing or money. So Iwas on about twenty-five quid a week at the time, but I think Id have about a hundredand eighty quid, what Id won o them. And they were betting on me as well, and then

When he was 31 he got leukaemia, erm, and then they cured that but all his hairdropped out, but that was really unny, when he ell asleep in his chair, his wig wouldcome over his head, and he used to knock it off when he was playing snooker over thetable, and the end o the wig was, erm, when me and my mate Graham Norton, heson my Facebook, Graham, we were up the entry, putting damp proo course, we wereabout 14 or 15, what you had to do was take a line o cement out, between the brickslow down, take a line o cement o a slide a line o plastic sheeting, called damp proocourse, and wed done about two oot and it had taken about three hours, and basicallywe should have done the entire house in about that time, and he came out and saidwhat you doing?, we were just pissing about, nothing like, so he said lemme show youhow to do it, so he grabbed, you know what an angle grinder is? it, he bent down doing that like that and his wig dropped down and hit the blade, andit went like that and that was the end o that. My mate thought his head had droppedoff, he shit himsel. Tat was unny.

In prison, couldnt afford to pay the big Irishman, um, and he worked in the kitchen,while he was inside, so he served ood, this big Irishman came down that he didnt pay,he started laughing at him because he thought it was unny that he couldnt pay, so theIrishman jumped over the counter and bit his ear off
