Lafayette Catholic Schools Mission
Statement
Lafayette Catholic Schools, centered in Jesus Christ, educates the whole person in a culture that is: • Sustained by
Gospel witness and service,
• Imbued with a Catholic worldview,
• Supported by a community of faith,
• Distinguished by academic excellence,
• Committed to student success.
St Boniface School prepares
students to be knowledgeable citizens of this
world, acting for the
true, the good, and the beautiful
thus fulfilling their
destiny to become saints in the world
to come.
School Begins at 8:00 A.M.
School Ends at 3:00 P.M.
Students may arrive at school no earlier than 7:30 a.m. They wait quietly on the stairs and visit with their friends. When the first bell rings at 7:50, the students go to their classroom, unpack their belongings and begin their “morning work”. At 8:00 the second bell rings and class promptly begins.
Morning work usually consists of a math problem and an English sentence. Each child is responsible for this ten minute assignment.
Every Monday, school ends at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, school ends at 3:00 p.m. When the students are dismissed, the car riders wait behind the fence. Students walk to the car after it is parked. Families with children at St. Mary School and St. Boniface School should pick up the younger children first at St. Mary's and then come to St. Boniface. There will be supervision for 30 minutes after dismissal in the school office. Parents must come into school.
