Data as the Primary of Physical Needs Assessment
Dawn Scott first worked with the U.S. Women’s National Team in January of 2010 and joined Pia Sundhage’s staff full-time the following February, working with the USA in both the 2011 and 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. Scott came to U.S. Soccer from the English Football Association, where she worked since 2001 as an Exercise Scientist. Her responsibilities with the U.S. women will include the delivery, coordination and monitoring of the team’s strength and conditioning as well as the nutritional and exercise science strategies for the squad. Scott worked with the Great Britain women’s soccer team at the World University Games in Bangkok in 2007 then joined the England senior women for their FIFA 2007 World Cup Finals campaign.
In his current role at Gatorade, Drew Palin helps lead the brand’s continued expansion into emergingtechnology platforms. These include the development of Gatorade’s Hydration Customization Platform,a cohesive digital measurement system allowing the brand to provide athletes with personalized fluidintake recommendations. In his previous role on Gatorade’s sports marketing team, Palin represented the brand when working with such partners as the NFL, SEC and ACC. Palin earned a degree in Economics at Yale University, where he played football, rugby and ski raced.Prior to joining Gatorade, Palin worked as a financial analyst for GE Healthcare before attendingNorthwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business, where he earned his MBA in Marketing. A sports enthusiast, Palin still plays competitive rugby and also enjoys tennis, skiing and barefoot water skiing.
Mark McKown is the Director of Sport Science at Utah Jazz Basketball Team. Mark has been in this role since 1997. Mark has vast experience within sport science and basketball, having previously held roles with Charleston College and Jacksonville university in roles as Head of S&C and Basketball Coach.
