To assist the SPDG Program and SPDG projects in using use new technologies effectively and efficiently to:

• acquire data more easily so that they can make scientifically based decisions

• collaborate more effectively

• provide professional development in a more efficient and cost-effective way

• efficiently support the use of innovations in the LEAs.

• Access can be provided to people in rural areas and those with disabilities

Expected Outcomes•By October 2009, the SPDG program will have chosen, installed, and begun to use new technologies that can be accessed through the SIGNetwork site.

•By January 2010, of 50% SPDG Project Directors and evaluators will have received training in a technology through the SPDG program.

•By May 2010, 75% of SPDG Project Directors and evaluators will have used a new technology on the SIGNetwork site to: communicate, collaborate, and share tools, products, and strategies.

•By September 2010, the Tech Focus Workgroup will have used feedback from the new technology users to improve the SIGNetwork’s use of technology.
