Nationally, nearly 50% of teachers leave before 5 years. In Kansas, on average 870 special education professionals leave special education each year. Kansas districts lose between 4

and 25% of their special education staff each year.

This revolving door of teachers leaves

students behind.

Feedback from mentors

-Mentor

• “I love the video observation tool and think it is an excellent must use tool in this process.”

-Mentor

• “The mini iPad has been very beneficial in the program being productive. Last year it was much harder to get to know the mentees and really know how they were teaching. Being able to FaceTime with them and see lessons with the video observations has a made a huge difference.”
