Abstract

In current world scenario where human race is trying tobuild advanced technologies so as to make our work easierbut still it is unable to progress much in case of soldierswho are the most important part of the nation. Soldiersare the backbone of a nation security and without them thesituation of nation and its people is unimaginable. But stillit is unable to provide them security. In this paper itis aimed to build a device that could help base station tomonitor all of its soldier health and their exact positions andhelp them in toilsome situations. This technology will thushelp to save many lives of soldiers. In this paper GPS andGSM technology are used which will help to send messagesto base station in real time scenario. Different sensors areused such as temperature sensor and heartbeat sensor whichwill keep track of soldiers health status. The output of thedifferent sensors can be read through IOT which will easethe monitoring of soldiers.

1 INTRODUCTION

The Web of Things (IoT) is a promising innovation for keen applica-tions, such as wellbeing checking and online information preparing.Be that as it may, the major concern around IoT sending is infor-mation security and vitality effectiveness. IoT is slowly beginningto weave into healthcare on both the specialists and patients. TheIoT sensor systems can be utilized to screen patients in healingcenters and indeed at domestic. There is a great set of health-care applications that have been created already. The paper reportsan Internet of Thing (IoT) based health monitoring and trackingsystem for soldiers. The proposed system can be mounted on thesoldiers body to track their health status and current location us-ing GPS. This information will be transmitted to the control roomthrough IoT. The proposed system comprises of tiny wearable phys-iological equipments, sensors and sends the output through GSM.Hence, with the use of the proposed equipment, it is possible toimplement a low cost mechanism to protect the valuable humanlife on the battlefield. The unusual tiny transducers are transplantinto the human to aggregate the details through which system gethuman fitness data security and to analyse for treatment. The collected data is then send to remote station via divergentcommunication technologies. From the data came from internet, the army professionals can seize conclusion and consequently fur-nish services centrally. Therefore, it is necessary to design produc-tive ultra-lightweight feasible protocol for costless IOT monitoringsystem. The IoT is the best solution for this purpose in recentyears. Therefore in this paper the effective healthcare monitoringsystem is designed by using the IOT and sensors. In this systemto secure the meticulous valuation return, supervising and exam-ining the fitness condition of soldier and to increase the power ofIoT, the combination of small signal board computer with sensorsis present. The different sensors are used to measure the differentparameters. These sensors are temperature sensor and heart beatsensor. To get the efficient output the combination of smart sensors

with small signal board computer components are taken into con-sideration because it has lots of advantages like as mean power exer-cise, location and proper health condition of soldier. The proposedpaper presents stage for real sensors, which are connected straightwith patients via phone to get in arrangement at run time. Thisdata is handled and put away in the cloud storage. The putawaydata may too be gotten to through professionals and therapeuticstaff afterward to watch and show sufferer’s prosperity.

A. Temperature SensorTemperature Sensor is a device used for determining how much

cold or hot object. LM35is a precision IC temperature sensor withits output proportional to the temperature (in ◦C).In LM35, moreaccurate measure of temperature is done using thermistor.

B. HeartBeat SensorHeartbeat sensor consists of light emitting diode and a detector

like a light detecting resistor .Variation of flow of blood is causedfrom Heartbeat pulses to different regions of body.. Some of thelight is absorbed by the blood and the transmitted or the reflectedlight is received by the light detector.

Blood value obtained from intensity of light absorbed. Heart-beat rate varies with detector output which is an electrical signal.

C. ADC ( Analog to Digital converter)The MCP3008 is a cheap analog to digital converter with 8 chan-

nel and 10 bits. It is very much similar in this regard to ArduinoUno, and with 8 channels one is able to read quite a few analogsignals from the Pi. The connection between MCP3008 and Pi isestablished using a SPI serial connection.

D. GSMGSM is an open, digital cellular technology used for transmit-

ting mobile voice and data services. ”GSM” is a trademark ownedby the GSM Association. It may also refer to the (initially) mostcommon voice codec used, Full Rate. GSM supports voice calls anddata transfer speeds of up to 9.6 kbps, together with the transmis-sion of SMS

E. Raspberry PI 3The Raspberry Pi is a series of small single-board computers.

The original model did not include peripherals (such as keyboards, mice and cases). The range of speed of the processor of Pi3 is 700MHz to 1.2 GHz, memory on board ranges from 256 MB to 1 GBRAM. Operating system and program memory stored in SecureDigital(SD) cards. The size may be SDHC or MicroSDHC. TheNo. of USB ports range from one to four.

F. GPSA Global positioning system or GPS is a device that uses satel-

lites to locate the geographical location of the device. Using suitablesoftware, the device may display the position on a map, and it mayoffer directions if the user intends to go to a particular location.

5 CONCLUSION

The paper proposes to develop a model to check the safety andhealth of a soldier and report any anomalies to the authorities. The GPS system incorporated continuously sends the exact loca-tion of the soldier. It can be the difference between life and deathin case a rescue operation is needed in a difficult situation. Theheartbeat sensor and temperature sensor send the heart rate andbody temperature respectively giving a health status of the soldier. These parameters are very crucial in case a vocal communicationis not possible.
