COMMUNITY MEMBERS RAISE THOUSANDS OF POUNDS FOR CHARITIES! Community of all ages planned and took part in a variety of fundraisers this Summer! Some of the success stories:

BUNJEE JUMP — 3 very brave young girls bungee jumped 160 feet onto Windsor Bray Lake to raise

funds for ‘Great Ormond Street Hospital’! “It was the most exciting experience ever and we would

love to do it again. Thank you to everyone that sponsored us!”, Jessica, Jaskaran and Amrinda.

FOOTBALL FUNDRAISER — Once again men from diverse communities and towns came together for

a five-a-side football tournament on 22nd September and raised a large amount of funds for the

Community Building Project! Thank you for your continued support!

HALF MARATHON WALK — Well done to all of the ladies that walked the night time half marathon in

London to raise funds for ‘Cancer Research’ and thank you to everyone that supported the cause!

SCCYC GAINED ‘RUNNER UP’ AT NORTHAMPTON CARNVIAL! Once again,

the youth club promoted Punjabi culture at the colourful Northampton Carnival and even

gained ‘runner-up for the most creative safari themed float!’. Well done to all of the

volunteers and participants for this achievement.

ANNUAL AWARDS DAY: We are very proud to announce that 13 young people received

volunteering awards for their accomplishment and commitment in charity work.

Congratulations to Gurpreet S Bains, Amrinda K Chahal, Maninder Singh, Jessica K

Grewal, Harjivan K Chhokar, Hanisha K Bains, Anya Mejer, Angeline K Chahal, Jagjit S

Shairi, Jaskaran K Suri and Jasmine K Shokar. Over 60 children also received

certification for participation in activities and they were rewarded with a fun sports day!

NORTHAMPTON SIKHI CAMP: The Sikhi Camp took place on Sunday 15th

September and was organised in partnership with RBN Gurdwara this year. The event

participants benefited immensely from inspirational and empowering talks, debates and

Kirtan Vichaar by ‘Kaurs Corner’ and ‘Share Sikhi’. A HUGE thank you to all of the

volunteers for their support!
