Dear Member,

Welcome to the Summer Newsletter. Once again there is something for

everyone to get involved in and as always we are on the look out for

volunteers to help deliver the activities, so do contact us if you can volunteer.

I would like to point out 3 new projects that have been secured for the

community — a youth club heritage project, youth club training project and

a women’s empowerment project, do take advantage of the new services

and once again help out if you can.

NEW BUILDING PROJECT — UPDATE

The program of work in relation to the new Gurdwara and Community Centre

continues with some key milestones achieved in the last 2 months:

Appointment of Project Mechanical and Electrical Consultants

Final changes to the proposed design were signed off by Trustees in

April, with the iconic roof design in particular looking very impressive.

We have now engaged formally with a professional fund-raiser who will work to help ensure that community

centre aspects are funded over a period of years. Notwithstanding the work ahead I am confident that this

engagement will put us in a strong position.

Final meeting with N’hamp Planning Dept to be held in July after which full tender documents will be produced and issued.

So as you can see we are making steady progress and are confident that in the autumn edition of the newsletter we will have

some exciting news as to start date of the construction. As always your continued support is thoroughly appreciated and should

you have any feedback (positive or negative) please do let me know. We want to ensure the success of this project for you all.
