Operating Precautions (restrictions)*Total capacity at load side (1/2 x total capacity [F] x Vo x Vo) should be 1.3 or below.

*Peak current should be at rated current or below, although it is a pulse load.

*The highest voltage generated by opening and closing the input should not exceed a limit of allowable input voltage, regardless of pulse width.

*A parallel connection using another voltage generator externally connected via output terminal is not allowed. (Neither series operation nor

parallel operation is allowed, in principle.)

*The below external components may be required depending on connection conditions.

No external component is required

If SW3 is always open, no external compo-nents is required.A Cin is required at the input area if the input voltage of NVD exhibits a rise at open/close of the SW3.

A diode and an electrolytic capacitor Cin are required at the input area as shown in the figure on the left if the primary power supply exhibits a steep power dip due to other load, etc.

An electrolytic capacitor Cin is required at NVD input area if an backflow diode in insert-ed for an uninterruptible power system and so forth, as shown in the figure at the left.

It is not possible to reverse regeneration energy and others to output terminals of NVD**SC using L-load of the LOAD and so forth. A backflow diode is required at one end of the output terminals.When only C in the LOAD side is charged up by the switch, regeneration may occur due to L-component of the wiring.

Selection of parts/components1. Electrolytic capacitor at the input area ** SC12 ····· 25V 220µF Allowable ripple current : 0.5A or above ** SC24 ····· 50V 220µF Allowable ripple current : 0.5A or above ** SC48 ····· 80V 82µF Allowable ripple current : 0.2A or above

2. Diode at the input areaA diode having a rated IF which is at least the rated input current and would be able to withstand an inrush current and having a rated Vrm which is at least the maximum nput voltage should be selected. A radiator plate is also needed.(Ex.: SC12, SC24 ➝ D30SC4M/SINDENGEN, FMB34M/SANKEN, SC48 ➝ general-purpose rectifying diode with around 100[V]10[A])
