Youth Fall Kick-Off A Success

Eleven youth and two adults traveled to the Ronald McDonald House on Monday, August 4 and baked cookies for the residents. While our cookies were in the oven, we toured the facility and learned about the mission and ministry of the Ronald McDonald House. We spoke to a resident who was thrilled we were there making a treat for those who need to stay while they have a child in the hospital.

Ten youth traveled to Carowinds on Wednesday, August 6 for a fun day of roller coasters! Jared Doughtery, Kaitlyn Davis, and Jacob Hare also attended to get to know the youth better. Everyone loved all of the rides and all of the excitement!

Middle Schoolers at Carowinds

High Schoolers at the National Whitewater Center

Thirteen people attended the high school trip to the U.S. National Whitewater Center on Sunday, August 10. We white water rafted, did the massive zip line, scaled to new heights on the high ropes course, explored the bike trails, and got to know each other better as we challenged ourselves physically.

If you are not receiving emails or mailings from the Youth Ministry, please contact Adrian Martin at 704.366.1854 (office) or 704.778.6432 (cell). You may also email Adrian at [email protected].
