Sardis Youth in the Christmas Dinner Pageant

Wise men: Andy Lankford, Mark Weber and Brett Harris Shepherds: David Abercrombie, Glenn Crossley and Lin Tucker Joseph: Chase Hunter Mary: Madison Moore

The Sardis middle schoolers had a full December! They bounced off the walls at Sky High in Pineville, shopped for Angel Tree gifts and helped deliver those gifts to the Rama Road Elementary School families. They also had their annual Progressive Fast Food Dinner, and of course, the annual White Elephant Gift Exchange Christmas Party. The fun will start back up on January 5!

Guest Speaker, Chris Porter On December 8, guest speaker, Chris Porter, with Athletes in Action spoke to the youth on the topic “Does the Way You Live Your Life Really Matter?” It was an evening of frank conversation and Chris stressed that poor choices always have consequences.

Annual Progressive Dinner Delicious cheese straws, jalapeno poppers, chicken strips, mac and cheese, Edible Arts cake, banana pudding and a chocolate fountain were some of the menu highlights twenty -eight high schoolers enjoyed for the annual Progressive Dinner! Many thanks for the outstanding evening that was hosted by Amy, Lance and Colin Read (appetizers), Canon, Moby and Madison Moore (entree) and Stacey, Michael and Erin Champion (desserts). We ended this memorable night on a high note caroling at the home of almost 97 year old Sardis member, Sarah Gardner!

Operation Christmas Child After shopping for, putting together and delivering nine shoe boxes in November, nineteen high school youth, two collegians and five adult chaperones volunteered on a December Saturday night for four hours at the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child warehouse processing some of the nearly ten million shoe boxes that will be delivered to children around the world. Many thanks to our advisors and parents who served as chaperones: David Abercrombie, Rebecca Hunter, Andrea and Joel Kepley and Bruce Scoggin.
